Psalms 96
1 Sing to YHWH a new song, Sing to YHWH all the earth.
Veisatkaa Herralle uusi virsi, veisatkaa Herralle, kaikki maa.
2 Sing to YHWH, bless His Name, Proclaim His salvation from day to day.
Veisatkaa Herralle, ylistäkää hänen nimeänsä. Julistakaa päivästä päivään hänen pelastustekojansa,
3 Declare His glory among nations, His wonders among all the peoples.
ilmoittakaa pakanain seassa hänen kunniaansa, hänen ihmeitänsä kaikkien kansojen seassa.
4 For YHWH [is] great, and greatly praised, He [is] fearful over all gods.
Sillä Herra on suuri ja sangen ylistettävä, hän on peljättävä yli kaikkien jumalain.
5 For all the gods of the peoples [are] nothing, And YHWH made the heavens.
Sillä kaikki kansojen jumalat ovat epäjumalia, mutta Herra on tehnyt taivaat.
6 Splendor and majesty [are] before Him, Strength and beauty in His sanctuary.
Herraus ja kunnia on hänen kasvojensa edessä, kiitos ja ylistys hänen pyhäkössänsä.
7 Ascribe to YHWH, O families of the peoples, Ascribe to YHWH glory and strength.
Antakaa Herralle, te kansojen sukukunnat, antakaa Herralle kunnia ja väkevyys.
8 Ascribe to YHWH the glory of His Name, Lift up a present and come into His courts.
Antakaa Herralle hänen nimensä kunnia, tuokaa lahjoja, tulkaa hänen esikartanoihinsa.
9 Bow yourselves to YHWH, In the honor of holiness, Be afraid of His presence, all the earth.
Kumartakaa Herraa pyhässä kaunistuksessa, vaviskaa hänen kasvojensa edessä, kaikki maa.
10 Say among nations, “YHWH has reigned, Also—the world is established, unmoved, He judges the peoples in uprightness.”
Sanokaa pakanain seassa: "Herra on kuningas". Niin pysyy maanpiiri lujana, se ei horju. Hän tuomitsee kansat oikeuden mukaan.
11 The heavens rejoice, and the earth is joyful, The sea and its fullness roar.
Iloitkoot taivaat, ja riemuitkoon maa; pauhatkoon meri ja kaikki, mitä siinä on.
12 The field exults, and all that [is] in it, Then all trees of the forest sing,
Ihastukoot kedot ja kaikki, mitä kedolla on, riemuitkoot silloin kaikki metsän puut
13 Before YHWH, for He has come, For He has come to judge the earth. He judges the world in righteousness, And the peoples in His faithfulness!
Herran edessä, sillä hän tulee, sillä hän tulee tuomitsemaan maata: hän tuomitsee maanpiirin vanhurskaudessa ja kansat uskollisuudessansa.
