< Psalms 91 >
1 He who is dwelling In the secret place of the Most High, Habitually lodges in the shade of the Mighty,
Ngʼat modak ei kar pondo mar Nyasaye Man Malo Moloyo biro yudo yweyo e bwo tipo mar Jehova Nyasaye Maratego.
2 He is saying of YHWH, “My refuge, and my bulwark, my God, I trust in Him,”
Ngʼat ma kamano nyalo wacho kuom Jehova Nyasaye niya, “En e kar pondona kendo en e ohingana, en e Nyasacha ma ageno kuome.”
3 For He delivers you from the snare of a fowler, From a calamitous pestilence.
Jehova Nyasaye biro resi adier kuom gik mochikigo mondo ohinyi kendo kuom tuoche maricho maneko.
4 He covers you over with His pinion, And under His wings you trust, His truth [is] a shield and buckler.
Obiro umi gi bwombene, kendo ibiro yudo konyruok e bwo bwombene; adierane biro bedoni ka okumba kendo ka siro.
5 You are not afraid of fear by night, Of arrow that flies by day,
Ok iniluor masira mar otieno, kata asere machielore godiechiengʼ,
6 Of pestilence that walks in thick darkness, Of destruction that destroys at noon,
kata tuoche maricho maliwo ji e mudho, kata tho matieko ngima ji e dier odiechiengʼ tir.
7 One thousand fall at your side, And a myriad at your right hand, [But] it does not come near to you.
Ji alufu achiel nyalo podho e bathi, ee, ji alufu apar nyalo riere e badi korachwich, to in onge moro ma nochop buti.
8 But with your eyes you look, And you see the reward of the wicked,
Iningʼigi angʼiya gi wengeni kendo inine kikumo joma timbegi richo.
9 (For You, O YHWH, [are] my refuge), You made the Most High your habitation.
Ka iwacho niya, “Jehova Nyasaye e kar pondona,” kendo iketo Nyasaye Man Malo Moloyo kar dakni,
10 Evil does not happen to you, And a plague does not come near your tent,
to onge gimoro amora marach ma notimreni, kendo onge masira ma nosud machiegni gi odi.
11 For He charges His messengers for you, To keep you in all your ways,
Nimar obiro miyo malaika mage chik nikech in mondo giriti e yoreni duto;
12 On the hands they bear you up, Lest you strike your foot against a stone.
gibiro tingʼi malo e lwetgi, mondo kik ichwany tiendi e kidi.
13 You tread on lion and cobra, You trample young lion and dragon.
Ininyon sibuor gi thuond fu; adier ininyon sibuor maratego gi thuol maduongʼ man-gi kwiri marach.
14 Because he has delighted in Me, I also deliver him—I set him on high, Because he has known My Name.
Jehova Nyasaye wacho niya, “Abiro rese nikech ohera; abiro rite nikech ohulo nyinga.
15 He calls Me, and I answer him, I [am] with him in distress, I deliver him, and honor him.
Enoluonga, kendo anadwoke; anabed kode e chandruok, adier, anakonye kendo anamiye duongʼ.
16 I satisfy him with [the] length of [his] days, And I cause him to look on My salvation!
Anami odag amingʼa kendo ananyise warruokna.”
