< Psalms 91 >

1 He who is dwelling In the secret place of the Most High, Habitually lodges in the shade of the Mighty,
Kasang koek pakaahaih ahmuen ah kaom kami loe, Thacak Sithaw ih tahlip ah abuep o tih.
2 He is saying of YHWH, “My refuge, and my bulwark, my God, I trust in Him,”
Angraeng loe ka buephaih, kacak kai ih sipae ah oh; anih loe kam hahaih, ka Sithaw ah oh, tiah ka thuih han.
3 For He delivers you from the snare of a fowler, From a calamitous pestilence.
Anih mah loe tavaa han dongh patung kami ih ban thung hoi paduek thaih kasae nathaih thung hoiah na loisak tangtang tih.
4 He covers you over with His pinion, And under His wings you trust, His truth [is] a shield and buckler.
Angmah ih pakhraeh hoi na khuk ueloe, anih ih pakhraeh tahlip ah na buepsak tih; anih ih loktang lok loe nang pakaahaih hoi angvaenghaih ah om tih.
5 You are not afraid of fear by night, Of arrow that flies by day,
Aqum ah kaom zitthok hmuen, khodai ah kah ih palaa,
6 Of pestilence that walks in thick darkness, Of destruction that destroys at noon,
khoving ah kaom nathaih kasae, athun ah kaom amrohaih doeh, na zii mak ai.
7 One thousand fall at your side, And a myriad at your right hand, [But] it does not come near to you.
Na taengah kami sangto amtimh o ueloe, na bantang bangah kami sang hato amtim o tih; toe nang khaeah pha mak ai.
8 But with your eyes you look, And you see the reward of the wicked,
Mik hoi khue na dan ueloe, kasae kaminawk han paek ih tangqum to na hnu tih.
9 (For You, O YHWH, [are] my refuge), You made the Most High your habitation.
Angraeng loe ka buephaih ah oh, tiah na thuih moe, Kasang koek khaeah, na ohhaih ahmuen to sak pongah,
10 Evil does not happen to you, And a plague does not come near your tent,
sethaih roe na nuiah krah mak ai, kawbaktih amrohaih doeh na ohhaih ahmuen taengah angzo mak ai.
11 For He charges His messengers for you, To keep you in all your ways,
Na caehhaih ahmuen kruekah nang toep hanah, angmah ih vankaminawk to paek tih.
12 On the hands they bear you up, Lest you strike your foot against a stone.
Na khok to thlung pongah daeng han ai ah, nihcae mah ban hoi na tapom o tahang tih.
13 You tread on lion and cobra, You trample young lion and dragon.
Kaipui hoi pahui sae to na cawh ueloe, kaipui kanawk hoi pahui pui to khok hoiah na tii tih.
14 Because he has delighted in Me, I also deliver him—I set him on high, Because he has known My Name.
Anih mah ang palung pongah, anih to ka pahlong han; anih mah ka hmin to panoek pongah, anih to ka tapom tahang han.
15 He calls Me, and I answer him, I [am] with him in distress, I deliver him, and honor him.
Anih mah ang kawk naah, ka pathim pae han; raihaih a tong naah, ka oh thuih han; anih to ka pahlong moe, ka pakoeh han.
16 I satisfy him with [the] length of [his] days, And I cause him to look on My salvation!
Hinglung sawkhaih hoiah palung ka dipsak moe, ka pahlonghaih ka hnuksak han, tiah a thuih.
