Psalms 89
1 AN INSTRUCTION OF ETHAN THE EZRAHITE. Of the kind acts of YHWH, I sing for all time, From generation to generation I make known Your faithfulness with my mouth,
Maskili ti Etani ará Esra. Èmi kọrin títóbi ìfẹ́ Olúwa títí láé; pẹ̀lú ẹnu mi ní èmi yóò jẹ́ kí a mọ òtítọ́ rẹ láti ìran dé ìran.
2 For I said, “Kindness is built for all time, The heavens! You establish Your faithfulness in them.”
Èmi ó wí pé, ìfẹ́ rẹ dúró títí láé, pé ìwọ gbe òtítọ́ rẹ kalẹ̀ ní ọ̀run fúnra rẹ̀.
3 I have made a covenant for My chosen, I have sworn to My servant David:
Ìwọ wí pé, “Èmi ti dá májẹ̀mú pẹ̀lú àwọn àyànfẹ́ mi mo ti búra fún Dafidi ìránṣẹ́ mi.
4 “Even for all time I establish your seed, And have built your throne to generation and generation.” (Selah)
‘Èmi ó fi ìdí irú-ọmọ rẹ múlẹ̀ títí láé èmí ó sì máa gbe ìtẹ́ rẹ ró láti ìran dé ìran.’”
5 And the heavens confess Your wonders, O YHWH, Your faithfulness [is] also in an assembly of holy ones.
Àwọn ọ̀run yóò máa yin iṣẹ́ ìyanu rẹ, Olúwa, òtítọ́ rẹ ni ìpéjọpọ̀ àwọn ẹni mímọ́.
6 For who in the sky, compares himself to YHWH? [Who] is like to YHWH among sons of the mighty?
Ta ni ó wà ní ọ̀run tí a lè fiwé Olúwa? Ta ni nínú àwọn ọmọ alágbára ti a lè fiwé Olúwa?
7 God is very terrible, In the secret counsel of His holy ones, And fearful over all surrounding Him.
Nínú àjọ ìgbìmọ̀ ẹni mímọ́, wọ́n bẹ̀rù Ọlọ́run gidigidi; ó sì ní ìbùyìn fún ju gbogbo àwọn tí ó yí i ká.
8 O YHWH, God of Hosts, Who [is] like You—a strong YAH? And Your faithfulness [is] around You.
Olúwa Ọlọ́run alágbára, ta ló dàbí rẹ ìwọ jẹ́ alágbára, Olúwa, òtítọ́ rẹ sì yí ọ ká.
9 You [are] ruler over the pride of the sea, In the lifting up of its billows You restrain them.
Ìwọ ń darí ríru omi Òkun; nígbà tí ó ru àwọn omi sókè, ìwọ mú wọn parọ́rọ́.
10 You have bruised Rahab, as one wounded. You have scattered Your enemies with the arm of Your strength.
Ìwọ ni ó ti ya Rahabu pẹ́rẹpẹ̀rẹ bí ẹni tí a pa; ìwọ ti fi apá ọwọ́ agbára rẹ tú àwọn ọ̀tá rẹ ká.
11 The heavens [are] Yours, The earth [is] also Yours, The habitable world and its fullness, You have founded them.
Tìrẹ ní àwọn ọ̀run, ayé pẹ̀lú jẹ́ tìrẹ: ayé àti ohun gbogbo tí ó wà nínú rẹ̀: ìwọ ti gbé wọn kalẹ̀.
12 North and south You have appointed them, Tabor and Hermon sing in Your Name.
Gúúsù àti àríwá ìwọ ni ó dá wọn; Tabori àti Hermoni ń fi ayọ̀ yin orúkọ rẹ.
13 You have an arm with might, Strong is Your hand—high Your right hand.
Ìwọ ní apá agbára; agbára ní ọwọ́ rẹ, gíga ní ọwọ́ ọ̀tún rẹ.
14 Righteousness and judgment [Are] the fixed place of Your throne, Kindness and truth go before Your face.
Òdodo àti òtítọ́ ni ìpìlẹ̀ ìtẹ́ rẹ: ìdúró ṣinṣin ìfẹ́ àti òtítọ́ ń lọ síwájú rẹ.
15 O the blessedness of the people knowing the shout, O YHWH, they habitually walk in the light of Your face.
Ìbùkún ni fún àwọn ènìyàn tí wọn mọ ohùn ayọ̀ nì, Olúwa wọ́n ó máa rìn ní ìmọ́lẹ̀ ojú rẹ.
16 They rejoice in Your Name all the day, And they are exalted in Your righteousness,
Wọn ń ṣògo nínú orúkọ rẹ̀ ní gbogbo ọjọ́, wọn ń yin òdodo rẹ.
17 For You [are] the beauty of their strength, And in Your good will is our horn exalted,
Nítorí ìwọ ni ògo agbára wọn; nípa ojúrere ni ìwo wá ń ṣògo.
18 For our shield [is] of YHWH, And our king to the Holy One of Israel.
Nítorí ti Olúwa ni asà wa, ọba wa sì ni Ẹni Mímọ́ Israẹli.
19 Then You have spoken in vision, To Your saint, indeed, You say, I have placed help on a mighty one, Exalted a chosen one out of the people,
Nígbà náà ni ìwọ sọ̀rọ̀ nínú ìran, sí àwọn olóòtítọ́ rẹ, wí pé, “Èmi ti gbé adé kalẹ̀ sórí ẹni tí ó lágbára, èmi ti gbé ẹni tí a yàn láti ọ̀dọ̀ àwọn ènìyàn ga.
20 I have found My servant David, With My holy oil I have anointed him.
Èmi ti rí Dafidi ìránṣẹ́ mi; pẹ̀lú òróró mímọ́ mi ni mo fi yàn án.
21 With whom My hand is established, My arm also strengthens him.
Ìgbà gbogbo ni ọwọ́ mi yóò máa wà pẹ̀lú rẹ̀ apá mí yóò sì fi agbára fún un.
22 An enemy does not exact on him, And a son of perverseness does not afflict him.
Àwọn ọ̀tá kì yóò borí rẹ̀, àwọn ènìyàn búburú kì yóò rẹ̀ ẹ́ sílẹ̀.
23 And I have beaten down his adversaries before him, And I plague those hating him,
Èmi yóò run àwọn ọ̀tá rẹ níwájú rẹ èmi yóò lu àwọn tí ó kórìíra rẹ bolẹ̀.
24 And My faithfulness and kindness [are] with him, And in My Name is his horn exalted.
Òtítọ́ mi àti ìdúró ṣinṣin ìfẹ́ yóò wà pẹ̀lú rẹ àti ní orúkọ mi ni a ó gbé ìwo rẹ ga.
25 And I have set his hand on the sea, And his right hand on the rivers.
Èmi ó gbé ọwọ́ rẹ lórí òkun, àti ọwọ́ ọ̀tún rẹ lórí àwọn odo ńlá.
26 He proclaims to Me: “You [are] my Father, My God, and the rock of my salvation.”
Òun yóò kígbe sí mi pé, ‘Ìwọ ni baba mi, Ọlọ́run mi, àti àpáta ìgbàlà mi!’
27 I also appoint him firstborn, Highest of the kings of the earth.
Èmi yóò ṣe é ni àkọ́bí mi, ẹni gíga ju àwọn ọba ayé.
28 For all time I keep for him My kindness, And My covenant [is] steadfast with him.
Títí láé ni èmi yóò pa ìfẹ́ dídúró ṣinṣin mọ́ fún un, àti májẹ̀mú mi pẹ̀lú rẹ̀ yóò dúró gbọingbọin.
29 And I have set his seed forever, And his throne as the days of the heavens.
Èmi ó fi ìdí irú-ọmọ rẹ̀ múlẹ̀ títí láé, àti ìtẹ́ rẹ gẹ́gẹ́ bí ọ̀run ti wà láé.
30 If his sons forsake My law, And do not walk in My judgments;
“Bí àwọn ọmọ rẹ̀ bá kọ òfin mi sílẹ̀ tí wọn kò sì rìn gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìlànà mi.
31 If they defile My statutes, And do not keep My commands,
Tí wọn bá ba ìlànà mi jẹ́ tí wọn kò sì pa àṣẹ mi mọ́,
32 I have looked after their transgression with a rod, And their iniquity with strokes,
nígbà náà ni èmi ó fì ọ̀gọ̀ bẹ ìrékọjá wọn wò; àti ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ wọn pẹ̀lú pàṣán;
33 And I do not break My kindness from him, Nor do I deal falsely in My faithfulness.
ṣùgbọ́n èmi kò ní mú ìfẹ́ mi tí ó dúró ṣinṣin kúrò lọ́dọ̀ rẹ, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni èmi kì yóò jẹ́ kí òtítọ́ mi kí ó yẹ̀.
34 I do not profane My covenant, And I do not change that which is going forth from My lips.
Èmi kì yóò sẹ́ májẹ̀mú mi, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni èmi kì yóò yí ọ̀rọ̀ tí ó ti ẹnu mi jáde padà.
35 Once I have sworn by My holiness, I do not lie to David,
Lẹ́ẹ̀kan ṣoṣo ni èmi ti fi ìwà mímọ́ mi búra; èmi kì yóò purọ́ fún Dafidi.
36 His seed is for all time, And his throne [is] as the sun before Me,
Irú-ọmọ rẹ yóò dúró títí láé, àti ìtẹ́ rẹ̀ yóò dúró bí oòrùn níwájú mi.
37 It is established as the moon for all time, And the witness in the sky is steadfast. (Selah)
A ó fi múlẹ̀ títí láé bí òṣùpá, àti bi ẹlẹ́rìí òtítọ́ ni ọ̀run.” (Sela)
38 And You, You have cast off, and reject, You have shown Yourself angry with Your anointed,
Ṣùgbọ́n nísinsin yìí ìwọ ti ṣá tì, ìwọ sì kórìíra; ìwọ kún fún ìrunú sí ẹni àmì òróró rẹ.
39 Have rejected the covenant of Your servant, You have defiled his crown to the earth,
Ìwọ ti sọ májẹ̀mú ìránṣẹ́ rẹ di òfo; ìwọ tàbùkù adé rẹ nínú eruku.
40 You have broken down all his hedges, You have made his fortifications a ruin.
Ìwọ ti wó gbogbo àwọn odi rẹ̀ ìwọ sọ ibi gíga rẹ̀ di ahoro.
41 Everyone passing by the way has spoiled him, He has been a reproach to his neighbors,
Àwọn tí ń kọjá lọ fi ṣe ìjẹ; ó ti di ẹ̀gàn àwọn olùbágbé rẹ̀.
42 You have exalted the right hand of his adversaries, You have caused all his enemies to rejoice.
Ìwọ ti gbé ọwọ́ ọ̀tún ọ̀tá rẹ̀ sókè; ìwọ mú gbogbo ọ̀tá rẹ̀ yọ̀.
43 Also—You turn back the sharpness of his sword, And have not established him in battle,
Pẹ̀lú, ìwọ ti yí ojú idà rẹ̀ padà, ìwọ kò sì dúró tì í nínú ogun.
44 Have caused [him] to cease from his brightness, And have cast down his throne to the earth.
Ìwọ ti mú ògo rẹ̀ kùnà, ìwọ si wó ìtẹ́ rẹ̀ palẹ̀ sílẹ̀ẹ́lẹ̀.
45 You have shortened the days of his youth, Have covered him over [with] shame. (Selah)
Ìwọ ti gé ọjọ́ èwe rẹ̀ kúrú; ìwọ sì fi ìtìjú bò ó.
46 Until when, O YHWH, are You hidden? Does Your fury burn as fire forever?
Yóò ti pẹ́ tó, Olúwa? Tí ìwọ ó ha fi ara rẹ pamọ́ títí láé? Yóò ti pẹ́ to tí ìbínú rẹ yóò máa jó bí iná?
47 Remember how [short] my lifetime [is]. Why have You created in vain All the sons of men?
Rántí bí ọjọ́ mi ti kúrú tó nítorí asán ha ni ìwọ fi ṣẹ̀dá àwọn ènìyàn!
48 Who [is] the man that lives, and does not see death? He delivers his soul from the hand of Sheol. (Selah) (Sheol h7585)
Ta ni yóò wà láààyè tí kò ní rí ikú rẹ̀? Ta ló lè sá kúrò nínú agbára isà òkú? (Sheol h7585)
49 Where [are] Your former kindnesses, O Lord, [Which] You have sworn to David in Your faithfulness?
Olúwa, níbo ni ìṣeun ìfẹ́ rẹ àtijọ́ wà, tí ìwọ ti fi òtítọ́ rẹ búra fún Dafidi?
50 Remember, O Lord, the reproach of Your servants, I have borne in my bosom all the strivings of the peoples,
Rántí, Olúwa, bí a ti ń gan àwọn ìránṣẹ́ rẹ; bí èmi ti gbà ní àyà mi láti ọ̀dọ̀ àwọn ènìyàn,
51 With which Your enemies reproached, O YHWH, With which they have reproached The steps of Your anointed.
ẹ̀gàn tí àwọn ọ̀tá rẹ gàn, Olúwa, tí wọn gan ipasẹ̀ ẹni àmì òróró rẹ.
52 Blessed [is] YHWH for all time. Amen and amen!
