Psalms 85
1 TO THE OVERSEER. A PSALM OF THE SONS OF KORAH. You have accepted, O YHWH, Your land, You have turned [to] the captivity of Jacob.
Nkosi, ubulomusa elizweni lakho. Ubuyisile ukuthunjwa kukaJakobe.
2 You have carried away the iniquity of Your people, You have covered all their sin. (Selah)
Wathethelela ububi babantu bakho, wasibekela zonke izono zabo. (Sela)
3 You have gathered up all Your wrath, You have turned back from the fierceness of Your anger.
Ukususile konke ukuthukuthela kwakho, waphenduka ekuvutheni kolaka lwakho.
4 Turn back [to] us, O God of our salvation, And make void Your anger with us.
Siphendule, Nkulunkulu wosindiso lwethu, wenze ulaka lwakho kithi luphele.
5 Are You angry against us for all time? Do You draw out Your anger To generation and generation?
Uzasithukuthelela kokuphela yini? Uzakwelulela ulaka lwakho esizukulwaneni lesizukulwana yini?
6 Do You not turn back? You revive us, And Your people rejoice in You.
Kawuyikubuya usivuselele yini, ukuze abantu bakho bathokoze kuwe?
7 Show us, O YHWH, your kindness, And You give to us Your salvation.
Sitshengise umusa wakho, Nkosi, usinike usindiso lwakho.
8 I hear what God, YHWH, speaks, For He speaks peace to His people, And to His saints, and they do not turn back to folly.
Ngizakuzwa lokho uNkulunkulu iNkosi azakukhuluma, ngoba uzakhuluma ukuthula ebantwini bakhe, lakwabangcwele bakhe, kodwa kabangabuyeli ebuwuleni.
9 Surely His salvation [is] near to those fearing Him, That glory may dwell in our land.
Isibili usindiso lwakhe luseduze kulabo abamesabayo ukuze kuhlale udumo elizweni lakithi.
10 Kindness and truth have met, Righteousness and peace have kissed,
Umusa leqiniso kuyahlangabezana, ukulunga lokuthula kwangene.
11 Truth springs up from the earth, And righteousness looks out from the heavens,
Iqiniso lizaphuma emhlabeni, lokulunga kuzakhangela phansi kusemazulwini.
12 YHWH also gives that which is good, And our land gives its increase.
Yebo, iNkosi izanika okuhle, lelizwe lethu lizathela isivuno salo.
13 Righteousness goes before Him, And makes a way for His footsteps!
Ukulunga kuzahamba phambi kwayo, kwenzele izinyathelo zayo indlela.
