< Psalms 83 >
1 A SONG. A PSALM OF ASAPH. O God, let there be no silence to You, Do not be silent, nor be quiet, O God.
Ingoma. Ihubo lika-Asafi. Oh Nkulunkulu, ungathuli uthi zwi; ungangincitshi indlebe yakho, ungameli khatshana lami, Oh Nkulunkulu.
2 For behold, Your enemies roar, And those hating You have lifted up the head,
Akubone ukuthi ziphithizela kanjani izitha zakho, ukuthi ziwaqaphisa kanganani amakhanda azo.
3 They take crafty counsel against Your people, And consult against Your hidden ones.
Ngobuqili zakhela abantu bakho amacebo; zisongela labo obathembileyo.
4 They have said, “Come, and we cut them off from [being] a nation, And the name of Israel is not remembered anymore.”
Bathi, “Wozani kasibabhuqe du njengesizwe, ukuze ibizo lika-Israyeli lingaphindi likhunjulwe.”
5 For they consulted in heart together, They make a covenant against You,
Nganhliziyonye bawakha amacebo ndawonye; bayahlangana beme ndawonye ukumelana lawe,
6 Tents of Edom, and Ishmaelites, Moab, and the Hagarenes,
amathente ase-Edomi lama-Ishumayeli, awamaMowabi lawamaHagari,
7 Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek, Philistia with inhabitants of Tyre,
amaGebhali, lama-Amoni lama-Amaleki, amaFilistiya labantu beThire.
8 Asshur is also joined with them, They have been an arm to sons of Lot. (Selah)
Lama-Asiriya asebambene labo ukuqinisa izizukulwane zikaLothi.
9 Do to them as Midian, As Sisera, as Jabin, at the Brook of Kishon.
Yenza kubo njengoba wenza eMidiyani, njengowakwenza kuSisera loJabhini emfuleni iKhishoni,
10 They were destroyed at Endor, They were dung for the ground!
ababhubha e-Endo baba njengezibi emhlabathini.
11 Make their nobles as Oreb and as Zeeb, And as Zebah and Zalmunna—all their princes,
Yenza izikhulu zabo zibe njengo-Orebhi loZebhi, wonke amakhosana abo abe njengoZebha loZalimuna,
12 Who have said, “Let us occupy the pastures of God for ourselves.”
abathi, “Kasiwathumbe amadlelo kaNkulunkulu.”
13 O my God, make them as a rolling thing, As stubble before wind.
Benze babe njengenkunkuma, Oh Nkulunkulu wami, njengamakhoba ephetshulwa ngumoya.
14 As a fire burns a forest, And as a flame sets hills on fire,
Njengalokhu umlilo uhangula igusu kumbe ilangabi lilumathisa izintaba,
15 So You pursue them with Your whirlwind, And trouble them with Your windstorm.
kanjalo basukele ngesivunguvungu sakho ubethuse ngesiphepho sakho.
16 Fill their faces [with] shame, And they seek Your Name, O YHWH.
Bahuqe ubuso babo ngehlazo ukuze abantu balidinge ibizo lakho, Oh Thixo.
17 They are ashamed and troubled forever, Indeed, they are confounded and lost.
Sengathi bangayangeka lanini badunyazwe; kungathi bangafa belehlazo.
18 And they know that You—Your Name [is] YHWH—By Yourself [are] the Most High over all the earth!
Yenza bakwazi ukuthi wena, obizo lakho unguThixo ukuthi wena wedwa ungoPhezukonke emhlabeni wonke.
