Psalms 82

1 A PSALM OF ASAPH. God has stood in the congregation of God, He judges among the gods.

アサフの歌 神は神の会議のなかに立たれる。神は神々のなかで、さばきを行われる。

2 Until when do you judge perversely? And lift up the face of the wicked? (Selah)

「あなたがたはいつまで不正なさばきをなし、悪しき者に好意を示すのか。 (セラ)

3 Judge the weak and fatherless, Declare the afflicted and the poor righteous.

弱い者と、みなしごとを公平に扱い、苦しむ者と乏しい者の権利を擁護せよ。

4 Let the weak and needy escape, Deliver them from the hand of the wicked.

弱い者と貧しい者を救い、彼らを悪しき者の手から助け出せ」。

5 They did not know, nor do they understand, They habitually walk in darkness, All the foundations of earth are moved.

彼らは知ることなく、悟ることもなくて、暗き中をさまよう。地のもろもろの基はゆり動いた。

6 I have said, “You [are] gods, And sons of the Most High—all of you,

わたしは言う、「あなたがたは神だ、あなたがたは皆いと高き者の子だ。

7 But you die as man, and you fall as one of the heads.”

しかし、あなたがたは人のように死に、もろもろの君のひとりのように倒れるであろう」。

8 Rise, O God, judge the earth, For You have inheritance among all the nations!

神よ、起きて、地をさばいてください。すべての国民はあなたのものだからです。
