Psalms 82

1 A PSALM OF ASAPH. God has stood in the congregation of God, He judges among the gods.

Mazmur Asaf. Allah memimpin sidang ilahi di surga, lalu Ia memberi keputusan-Nya:

2 Until when do you judge perversely? And lift up the face of the wicked? (Selah)

"Jangan lagi mengadili dengan curang, dan jangan memihak kepada orang jahat.

3 Judge the weak and fatherless, Declare the afflicted and the poor righteous.

Belalah anak yatim dan orang lemah, berilah keadilan kepada orang miskin dan sengsara.

4 Let the weak and needy escape, Deliver them from the hand of the wicked.

Bebaskanlah orang yang lemah dan tak berdaya, luputkan mereka dari tangan orang jahat.

5 They did not know, nor do they understand, They habitually walk in darkness, All the foundations of earth are moved.

Kamu tak tahu apa-apa, bodoh dan sesat, karena kamu, tata tertib masyarakat berantakan.

6 I have said, “You [are] gods, And sons of the Most High—all of you,

Aku berkata bahwa kamu ilahi kamu sekalian anak-anak Allah Yang Mahatinggi.

7 But you die as man, and you fall as one of the heads.”

Tapi kamu akan mati seperti manusia, seperti setiap pembesar, kamu pun akan tewas."

8 Rise, O God, judge the earth, For You have inheritance among all the nations!

Datanglah ya Allah, hakimilah dunia, sebab semua bangsa adalah milik-Mu.
