< Psalms 82 >
1 A PSALM OF ASAPH. God has stood in the congregation of God, He judges among the gods.
melody to/for Asaph God to stand in/on/with congregation God in/on/with entrails: among God to judge
2 Until when do you judge perversely? And lift up the face of the wicked? (Selah)
till how to judge injustice and face: kindness wicked to lift: kindness (Selah)
3 Judge the weak and fatherless, Declare the afflicted and the poor righteous.
to judge poor and orphan afflicted and be poor to justify
4 Let the weak and needy escape, Deliver them from the hand of the wicked.
to escape poor and needy from hand: power wicked to rescue
5 They did not know, nor do they understand, They habitually walk in darkness, All the foundations of earth are moved.
not to know and not to understand in/on/with darkness to go: walk to shake all foundation land: country/planet
6 I have said, “You [are] gods, And sons of the Most High—all of you,
I to say God you(m. p.) and son: descendant/people Most High all your
7 But you die as man, and you fall as one of the heads.”
surely like/as man to die [emph?] and like/as one [the] ruler to fall: fall
8 Rise, O God, judge the earth, For You have inheritance among all the nations!
to arise: rise [emph?] God to judge [emph?] [the] land: country/planet for you(m. s.) to inherit in/on/with all [the] nation
