Psalms 79

1 A PSALM OF ASAPH. O God, nations have come into Your inheritance, They have defiled Your holy temple, They made Jerusalem become heaps,

阿撒夫的詩歌。

2 They gave the dead bodies of Your servants [As] food for the birds of the heavens, The flesh of Your saints For the wild beast of the earth.

天主，異民侵入了您的遺產，褻瀆了您的聖殿，使耶路撒冷覆顛；

3 They have shed their blood As water around Jerusalem, And there is none burying.

並將您眾僕人的屍首，給天空的飛鳥做食物，用您聖徒的肉餵野獸。

4 We have been a reproach to our neighbors, A scorn and a derision to our surrounders.

在耶路撒冷四周血如水流，但出來埋葬的人一個也無。

5 Until when, O YHWH? Are You angry forever? Your jealousy burns as fire.

我們竟成為我們鄰居的恥辱，作了我們四周的譏諷與玩物。

6 Pour Your fury on the nations who have not known You, And on kingdoms that have not called on Your Name.

上主，您經常發怒，要到何時，您怒燄如火，要到何時？

7 For [one] has devoured Jacob, And they have made his habitation desolate.

求您向那不承認您的異民，及不呼號您名的列國洩憤，

8 Do not remember for us the iniquities of forefathers, Hurry, let Your mercies go before us, For we have been very weak.

因為他們吞併了雅各伯家族，並蹂躪了他的住處。

9 Help us, O God of our salvation, Because of the glory of Your Name, And deliver us, and cover over our sins, For Your Name’s sake.

求您別向我們追討祖先惡行，以您仁慈速來協助我們，因為我們實在是可憐萬分。天主，我們的救主，為您名的光榮，協助我們，為了您的聖名，寬赦我們的罪過，拯救我們！

10 Why do the nations say, “Where [is] their God?” Let [it] be known among the nations before our eyes, The vengeance of the blood of Your servants that is shed.

為何讓異民說：他們的天主在哪裡？願我們在異民中能親眼看到您僕人流出的血，要得的酬報！

11 Let the groaning of the prisoner come in before You, According to the greatness of Your arm, Leave the sons of death.

願囚徒的哀歎上達您面前，按您手臂的能力解放死犯!

12 And return to our neighbors, Sevenfold to their bosom, their reproach, With which they reproached You, O Lord.

天主，求您將我們四鄰加給您的凌辱，向他們的胸懷裏投以七倍報復!

13 And we, Your people, and the flock of Your pasture, We give thanks to You for all time, We recount Your praise from generation to generation!

這樣做您子民做您牧場羊群的我們，能永遠稱謝您，能萬世宣揚您的光榮。
