Psalms 76

1 TO THE OVERSEER. WITH STRINGED INSTRUMENTS. A PSALM OF ASAPH. A SONG. God [is] known in Judah, His Name [is] great in Israel.

Zborovođi. Uza žičana glazbala. Psalam. Asafov. Pjesma. Na glasu je Bog u Judeji, u Izraelu veliko je ime njegovo!

2 And His dwelling place is in Salem, And His habitation in Zion.

U Šalemu je Šator njegov, na Sionu boravište.

3 There He has shattered arrows of a bow, Shield, and sword, and battle. (Selah)

Tu polomi strijele lukovima, štitove, mačeve, sve oružje.

4 You [are] bright, majestic above hills of prey.

Blistav si od svjetla, veličanstveniji od bregova drevnih.

5 The mighty of heart have spoiled themselves, They have slept their sleep, And none of the men of might found their hands.

Opljačkani su oni koji bijahu jaki srcem, i san svoj snivaju - klonuše ruke svim hrabrima.

6 From Your rebuke, O God of Jacob, Both rider and horse have been fast asleep.

Od prijetnje tvoje, Bože Jakovljev, skameniše se kola i konji.

7 You, fearful [are] You, And who stands before You, Since You have been angry?

Strašan si ti, i tko da opstane kraj žestine gnjeva tvojega.

8 You have sounded judgment from the heavens, Earth has feared, and has been still,

S neba reče presudu - od straha zemlja zadrhta i zanijemje

9 In the rising of God to judgment, To save all the humble of earth. (Selah)

kad se diže Bog da sudi, da spasi uboge na zemlji.

10 For the fierceness of man praises You, You gird on the remnant of fierceness.

Jer će te i bijes Edoma slaviti, i preživjeli iz Hamata štovat će te.

11 Vow and complete to your God YHWH, All you surrounding Him, They bring presents to the Fearful One.

Zavjetujte i izvršite zavjete Jahvi, Bogu svojemu, svi oko njega neka donose darove Strašnome

12 He gathers the spirit of leaders, Fearful to the kings of earth!
