< Psalms 75 >

1 TO THE OVERSEER. “DO NOT DESTROY.” A PSALM OF ASAPH. A SONG. We have given thanks to You, O God, We have given thanks, and Your Name [is] near, They have recounted Your wonders.
KE hoomaikai aku nei makou ia oe, e ke Akua, Ke hoomaikai aku nei makou; No ka mea, o ke kokoke ana mai o kou inoa, Ua hoakakaia e kau mau hana kupanaha.
2 When I receive an appointment, I judge uprightly.
Aia loaa ia'u ke anaina, Alaila, e hooponopono au ma ka pololei.
3 The earth and all its inhabitants are melted, I have pondered its pillars. (Selah)
Hehee iho la ka honua me ko ka honua a pau: Na'u no i hookupaa i kona mau kia. (Sila)
4 I have said to the boastful, “Do not be boastful,” And to the wicked, “Do not raise up a horn.”
I aku la au i ka poe naaupo, Mai hana naaupo oukou; A i ka poe aia, Mai hookiekie i ka pepeiaohao.
5 Do not raise up your horn on high (You speak with a stiff neck).
Mai hookiekie i ko oukou mau pepeiaohao iluna: Mai olelo me ka a-i oolea;
6 For not from the east, or from the west, Nor from the wilderness—[is] elevation.
No ka mea, aole mai ka hikina, aole hoi mai ke komohana, Aole hoi mai ke kukuluhema, ka hoomaikaiia.
7 But God [is] judging, This He makes low—and this He lifts up.
No ka mea, o ke Akua ka Lunakanawai: Ua hoohaahaa oia i kekahi, a ua hookiekie hoi i kekahi.
8 For a cup [is] in the hand of YHWH, And the wine has foamed, It is full of mixture, and He pours out of it, Surely wring out its dregs, And all the wicked of the earth drink,
No ka mea, he kiaha ka iloko o ka lima o Iehova, He ulaula ka waina, a ua piha i ka mea anoninoniia; Ke ninini nei oia i koloko; Aka, o kona okaoka, oia ka ka poe hewa a pau o ka honua e kowi ai, a e inu.
9 And I declare [it] for all time, I sing praise to the God of Jacob.
Aka, e hai mau loa aku no wau; E hemeni aku au i ke Akua o Iakoba.
10 And I cut off all horns of the wicked, The horns of the righteous are exalted!
O na pepeiaohao a pau o ka poe hewa ka'u e oki aku ai: Aka, e hookiekieia'e na pepeiaohao o ka mea pono.
