< Psalms 64 >

1 TO THE OVERSEER. A PSALM OF DAVID. Hear, O God, my voice, in my (meditation) You keep my life from the fear of an enemy,
Sikia sauti yangu, Mungu, usikilize malalamiko yangu; unilinde dhidi ya hofu ya adui zangu.
2 Hide me from the secret counsel of evildoers, From the tumult of workers of iniquity.
Unifiche dhidi ya mipango ya siri ya wafanyao maovu, unifiche dhidi ya watendao vurugu ya udhalimu.
3 Who sharpened their tongue as a sword, They directed their arrow—a bitter word.
Wao wamenoa ndimi zao kama panga; wamelenga mishale yao, maneno machungu,
4 To shoot the perfect in secret places, Suddenly they shoot him, and do not fear.
5 They strengthen an evil thing for themselves, They recount of the hiding of snares, They have said, “Who looks at it?”
Wao wanahamasishana wenyewe katika kupanga uovu; wanashauriana pamoja wao binafsi ili kuweka mitego; nao husema, “Ni nani atakayetuona?”
6 They search out perverse things, “We perfected a searching search,” And the inward part of man, and the heart, [are] deep.
7 And God shoots them [with] an arrow, Their wounds have been sudden,
8 And they cause him to stumble, Their own tongue [is] against them, Every looker on them flees away.
9 And all men fear, and declare the work of God, And they have wisely considered His deed.
10 The righteous rejoice in YHWH, And have trusted in Him, And all the upright of heart boast!
Wenye haki watakuwa na furaha kuhusu Yahwe nao watakimbilia kwake; wote wenye haki moyoni watajivuna katika yeye.
