< Psalms 63 >

1 A PSALM OF DAVID, IN HIS BEING IN THE WILDERNESS OF JUDAH. O God, You [are] my God, earnestly I seek You, My soul has thirsted for You, My flesh has longed for You, In a dry and weary land, without waters.
Zabbuli ya Dawudi, bwe yali mu ddungu lya Yuda. Ayi Katonda, oli Katonda wange, nkunoonya n’omutima gwange gwonna; emmeeme yange ekwetaaga, omubiri gwange gwonna gukuyaayaanira, nga nnina ennyonta ng’ali mu nsi enkalu omutali mazzi.
2 So I have seen You in the sanctuary, To behold Your strength and Your glory.
Nkulabye ng’oli mu kifo kyo ekitukuvu, ne ndaba amaanyi go n’ekitiibwa kyo.
3 Because better [is] Your kindness than life, My lips praise You.
Kubanga okwagala kwo okutaggwaawo kusinga obulamu; akamwa kange kanaakutenderezanga.
4 So I bless You in my life, I lift up my hands in Your Name.
Bwe ntyo nnaakutenderezanga obulamu bwange bwonna; nnaayimusanga emikono gyange mu linnya lyo.
5 As [with] milk and fatness is my soul satisfied, And [with] singing lips my mouth praises.
Emmeeme yange enekkutanga ebyassava n’obugagga; nnaayimbanga nga nkutendereza n’emimwa egy’essanyu.
6 If I have remembered You on my bed, I meditate on You in the watches.
Nkujjukira nga ndi ku kitanda kyange, era nkufumiitirizaako mu ssaawa ez’ekiro.
7 For You have been a help to me, And I sing in the shadow of Your wings.
Olw’okuba ng’oli mubeezi wange, nnyimba nga ndi mu kisiikirize ky’ebiwaawaatiro byo.
8 My soul has cleaved after You, Your right hand has taken hold on me.
Emmeeme yange yeekwata ku ggwe; omukono gwo ogwa ddyo gumpanirira.
9 And they who seek my soul for desolation, Go into the lower parts of the earth.
Naye abo abannoonya okunzita balizikirizibwa, baliserengeta emagombe.
10 They cause him to run on the edge of the sword, They are a portion for foxes.
Balisaanawo n’ekitala; ne bafuuka emmere y’ebibe.
11 And the king rejoices in God, Everyone swearing by Him boasts, But the mouth of those speaking lies is stopped!
Naye ye kabaka anaajagulizanga mu Katonda; bonna abalayira mu linnya lya Katonda banaatenderezanga Katonda, naye akamwa k’abalimba kalisirisibwa.
