< Psalms 61 >
1 TO THE OVERSEER. ON STRINGED INSTRUMENTS. BY DAVID. Hear, O God, my loud cry, attend to my prayer.
E HOOLOHE mai, e ke Akua, i ko'u kahea ana; E maliu pono mai i ka'u pule.
2 I call to You from the end of the land, In the feebleness of my heart, You lead me into a rock higher than I.
Mai ka welau o ka honua e kahea aku ai au ia oe, I ka paumako o ko'u naau; E alakai oe ia'u i ka pohaku kiekie maluna o'u.
3 For You have been a refuge for me, A tower of strength because of the enemy.
No ka mea, ua lilo mai oe i paku no'u; He halekaua paa imua o ka enemi.
4 I sojourn in Your tent for all ages, I trust in the secret place of Your wings. (Selah)
E noho wau maloko o kou halelewa a mau loa: E kanaho au ma ka hoomalu ana o kou mau eheu. (Sila)
5 For You, O God, have listened to my vows, You have appointed the inheritance Of those fearing Your Name.
No ka mea, ua lohe oe, e ke Akua, i ka'u mau mea i hoohiki ai: Ua haawi mai hoi oe ia'u i ka hooilina o ka poe weliweli i kou inoa.
6 You add days to the days of the king, His years as generation and generation.
E hooloihi no oe i na la o ke alii: A i kona mau makahiki ia hanauna aku ia hanauna aku.
7 He dwells before God for all time, Appoint kindness and truth—they keep him.
E noho ia imua o ke Akua a mau loa; E hoomakaukau mai oe i ke aloha a me ka oiaio, e ola'i ia.
8 So I praise Your Name forever, When I pay my vows day by day!
Pela, e himeni mau loa aku au i kou inoa, E hooko aku i kela la i keia la i ka'u mau mea i berita ai.
