< Psalms 60 >
1 TO THE OVERSEER. [SET] ON “LILY OF TESTIMONY.” A MIKTAM OF DAVID, TO TEACH, IN HIS STRIVING WITH ARAM-NAHARAIM AND WITH ARAM-ZOBAH, WHEN JOAB TURNS BACK AND STRIKES EDOM IN THE VALLEY OF SALT—TWELVE THOUSAND. O God, You had cast us off, You had broken us—had been angry! You turn back to us.
Fún adarí orin. Tí ohùn “Lílì ti Májẹ̀mú.” Miktamu ti Dafidi. Fún ìkọ́ni. Nígbà tí ó bá Aramu-Naharaimu àti Siria-Soba jà, àti nígbà tí Joabu yípadà tí ó sì pa ẹgbẹ̀rún méjìlá àwọn ará Edomu ní àfonífojì Iyọ̀. Ìwọ ti kọ̀ wá sílẹ̀, Ọlọ́run, ìwọ ti tú wa ká, ìwọ ti bínú nísinsin yìí, tún ara rẹ yípadà sí wa.
2 You have caused the land to tremble, You have broken it, Heal its breaches, for it has moved.
Ìwọ ti mú ilẹ̀ wárìrì, ìwọ ti fọ́ ọ; mú fífọ́ rẹ̀ bọ̀ sípò, nítorí tí ó mì.
3 You have shown Your people a hard thing, You have caused us to drink wine of trembling.
Ìwọ ti fi ìgbà ewu han àwọn ènìyàn rẹ; ìwọ fún wa ní wáìnì tí ó máa ń ta wá gbọ̀nọ́ngbọ̀nọ́n.
4 You have given an ensign to those fearing You, To be lifted up as an ensign Because of truth. (Selah)
Àwọn tí ó bẹ̀rù rẹ̀, ní ìwọ fi ọ̀págun fún kí a lè fihàn nítorí òtítọ́. (Sela)
5 That Your beloved ones may be drawn out, Save [with] Your right hand, and answer us.
Fi ọwọ́ ọ̀tún rẹ gbà wá, kí o sì ràn wá lọ́wọ́, kí a lè gba àwọn tí o fẹ́ là.
6 God has spoken in His holiness: I exult—I apportion Shechem, And I measure the Valley of Succoth,
Ọlọ́run ti sọ̀rọ̀ láti ibi mímọ́ rẹ̀: “Ní ayọ̀, èmi ó pọ Ṣekemu jáde èmi ó sì wọ́n àfonífojì Sukkoti.
7 Gilead [is] Mine, and Manasseh [is] Mine, And Ephraim [is] the strength of My head, Judah [is] My lawgiver,
Tèmi ni Gileadi, tèmi sì ni Manase; Efraimu ni àṣíborí mi, Juda sì ni ọ̀pá àṣẹ mi.
8 Moab [is] My pot for washing, Over Edom I cast My shoe, Shout, concerning Me, O Philistia.
Moabu ní ìkòkò ìwẹsẹ̀ mi, lórí Edomu ní mo bọ́ bàtà mi sí; lórí Filistia ni mo kígbe ayọ̀.”
9 Who brings me [to] a city of bulwarks? Who has led me to Edom?
Ta ni yóò mú mi wá sí ìlú olódi nì? Ta ni yóò tọ́ mí lọ sí Edomu?
10 Is it not You, O God? Have You cast us off? And do You not go forth, O God, with our hosts?
Kì í ha ń ṣe ìwọ, Ọlọ́run, tí ó ti kọ̀ wá sílẹ̀ tí o kò sì bá ogun wa jáde mọ́?
11 Give to us help from adversity, And the deliverance of man [is] vain.
Fún wa ní ìrànlọ́wọ́ lórí àwọn ọ̀tá, nítorí asán ni ìrànlọ́wọ́ ènìyàn.
12 We do mightily in God, And He treads down our adversaries!
Nípa Ọlọ́run ni a óò ní ìṣẹ́gun, yóò sì tẹ àwọn ọ̀tá wa mọ́lẹ̀.
