Psalms 60

1 TO THE OVERSEER. [SET] ON “LILY OF TESTIMONY.” A MIKTAM OF DAVID, TO TEACH, IN HIS STRIVING WITH ARAM-NAHARAIM AND WITH ARAM-ZOBAH, WHEN JOAB TURNS BACK AND STRIKES EDOM IN THE VALLEY OF SALT—TWELVE THOUSAND. O God, You had cast us off, You had broken us—had been angry! You turn back to us.

Kwa mtsogoleri wa mayimbidwe. Potsata mayimbidwe a “Kakombo wa Pangano.” Mikitamu ya Davide yophunzitsira. Pamene anamenyana ndi Mesopotamiya ndi Aramu-Zoba, ndi pamene Yowabu anabwerera ndi kukantha Aedomu 12,000 mʼChigwa cha Mchere. Inu Mulungu mwatikanatu ife, ndipo mwatiwonongera otiteteza. Inu mwatikwiyira, tsopano tibwezeretseni mwakale!

2 You have caused the land to tremble, You have broken it, Heal its breaches, for it has moved.

Inu mwagwedeza dziko ndipo mwalingʼamba, konzani mingʼalu yake pakuti ikugwedezeka kwambiri.

3 You have shown Your people a hard thing, You have caused us to drink wine of trembling.

Inu mwaonetsa anthu anu nthawi za mavuto; inu mwatipatsa vinyo amene watichititsa kudzandira.

4 You have given an ensign to those fearing You, To be lifted up as an ensign Because of truth. (Selah)

Koma kwa iwo amene amaopa Inu, Inu mwakweza mbendera kuti tisonkhanireko pothawa uta.

5 That Your beloved ones may be drawn out, Save [with] Your right hand, and answer us.

Tipulumutseni ndi kutithandiza ndi dzanja lanu lamanja, kuti iwo amene mumawakonda apulumutsidwe.

6 God has spoken in His holiness: I exult—I apportion Shechem, And I measure the Valley of Succoth,

Mulungu wayankhula kuchokera ku malo ake opatulika: “Mwakupambana ndidzagawa Sekemu ndipo ndidzayeza malire a chigwa cha Sukoti.

7 Gilead [is] Mine, and Manasseh [is] Mine, And Ephraim [is] the strength of My head, Judah [is] My lawgiver,

Giliyadi ndi wanga, Manase ndi wanganso; Efereimu ndi chipewa changa chodzitetezera, Yuda ndi ndodo yanga yaufumu

8 Moab [is] My pot for washing, Over Edom I cast My shoe, Shout, concerning Me, O Philistia.

Mowabu ndi mbale yanga yosambira, pa Edomu ndidzaponyapo nsapato yanga, pa Filisitiya ndidzafuwula mwakupambana.”

9 Who brings me [to] a city of bulwarks? Who has led me to Edom?

Adzandifikitse ndani ku mzinda wotetezedwa? Ndani adzanditsogolera ku Edomu?

10 Is it not You, O God? Have You cast us off? And do You not go forth, O God, with our hosts?

Kodi si Inu Mulungu, Inu amene mwatikana ife ndipo simutuluka pamodzi ndi magulu athu ankhondo.

11 Give to us help from adversity, And the deliverance of man [is] vain.

Tipatseni chithandizo kuti tilimbane ndi mdani wathu, pakuti thandizo lochokera kwa munthu ndi lopanda phindu.

12 We do mightily in God, And He treads down our adversaries!

Chifukwa cha Mulungu, ife tidzapeza chipambano ndipo tidzapondaponda adani athu.
