Psalms 60
1 TO THE OVERSEER. [SET] ON “LILY OF TESTIMONY.” A MIKTAM OF DAVID, TO TEACH, IN HIS STRIVING WITH ARAM-NAHARAIM AND WITH ARAM-ZOBAH, WHEN JOAB TURNS BACK AND STRIKES EDOM IN THE VALLEY OF SALT—TWELVE THOUSAND. O God, You had cast us off, You had broken us—had been angry! You turn back to us.
| لِإِمَامِ ٱلْمُغَنِّينَ عَلَى «ٱلسُّوسَنِّ». شَهَادَةٌ مُذَهَّبَةٌ لِدَاوُدَ لِلتَّعْلِيمِ. عِنْدَ مُحَارَبَتِهِ أَرَامَ ٱلنَّهْرَيْنِ وَأَرَامَ صُوبَةَ، فَرَجَعَ يُوآبُ وَضَرَبَ مِنْ أَدُومَ فِي وَادِي ٱلْمِلْحِ ٱثْنَيْ عَشَرَ أَلْفًا. يَا ٱللهُ رَفَضْتَنَا. ٱقْتَحَمْتَنَا. سَخِطْتَ. أَرْجِعْنَا. | ١ |
2 You have caused the land to tremble, You have broken it, Heal its breaches, for it has moved.
| زَلْزَلْتَ ٱلْأَرْضَ، فَصَمْتَهَا. ٱجْبُرْ كَسْرَهَا لِأَنَّهَا مُتَزَعْزِعَةٌ! | ٢ |
3 You have shown Your people a hard thing, You have caused us to drink wine of trembling.
| أَرَيْتَ شَعْبَكَ عُسْرًا. سَقَيْتَنَا خَمْرَ ٱلتَّرَنُّحِ. | ٣ |
4 You have given an ensign to those fearing You, To be lifted up as an ensign Because of truth. (Selah)
| أَعْطَيْتَ خَائِفِيكَ رَايَةً تُرْفَعُ لِأَجْلِ ٱلْحَقِّ. سِلَاهْ. | ٤ |
5 That Your beloved ones may be drawn out, Save [with] Your right hand, and answer us.
| لِكَيْ يَنْجُوَ أَحِبَّاؤُكَ. خَلِّصْ بِيَمِينِكَ وَٱسْتَجِبْ لِي! | ٥ |
6 God has spoken in His holiness: I exult—I apportion Shechem, And I measure the Valley of Succoth,
| ٱللهُ قَدْ تَكَلَّمَ بِقُدْسِهِ: «أَبْتَهِجُ، أَقْسِمُ شَكِيمَ، وَأَقِيسُ وَادِيَ سُكُّوتَ. | ٦ |
7 Gilead [is] Mine, and Manasseh [is] Mine, And Ephraim [is] the strength of My head, Judah [is] My lawgiver,
| لِي جِلْعَادُ وَلِي مَنَسَّى، وَأَفْرَايِمُ خُوذَةُ رَأْسِي، يَهُوذَا صَوْلَجَانِي. | ٧ |
8 Moab [is] My pot for washing, Over Edom I cast My shoe, Shout, concerning Me, O Philistia.
| مُوآبُ مِرْحَضَتِي. عَلَى أَدُومَ أَطْرَحُ نَعْلِي. يَا فَلَسْطِينُ ٱهْتِفِي عَلَيَّ». | ٨ |
9 Who brings me [to] a city of bulwarks? Who has led me to Edom?
| مَنْ يَقُودُنِي إِلَى ٱلْمَدِينَةِ ٱلْمُحَصَّنَةِ؟ مَنْ يَهْدِينِي إِلَى أَدُومَ؟ | ٩ |
10 Is it not You, O God? Have You cast us off? And do You not go forth, O God, with our hosts?
| أَلَيْسَ أَنْتَ يَا ٱللهُ ٱلَّذِي رَفَضْتَنَا، وَلَا تَخْرُجُ يَا ٱللهُ مَعَ جُيُوشِنَا؟ | ١٠ |
11 Give to us help from adversity, And the deliverance of man [is] vain.
| أَعْطِنَا عَوْنًا فِي ٱلضِّيقِ، فَبَاطِلٌ هُوَ خَلَاصُ ٱلْإِنْسَانِ. | ١١ |
12 We do mightily in God, And He treads down our adversaries!
| بِٱللهِ نَصْنَعُ بِبَأْسٍ، وَهُوَ يَدُوسُ أَعْدَاءَنَا. | ١٢ |
