< Psalms 59 >
1 TO THE OVERSEER. “DO NOT DESTROY.” A MIKTAM OF DAVID, IN SAUL’S SENDING, AND THEY WATCH THE HOUSE TO PUT HIM TO DEATH. Deliver me from my enemies, O my God, Set me on high from my withstanders.
Ki he Takimuʻa, ʻAli-Tasikiti, ko e Saame mahuʻinga ʻa Tevita, ʻi he fekau ʻa Saula ke nau leʻohi ʻae fale ke tāmateʻi ia. ʻE hoku ʻOtua, ke ke fakahaofi au mei hoku ngaahi fili: maluʻi au meiate kinautolu ʻoku tuʻu hake kiate au.
2 Deliver me from workers of iniquity, And save me from men of blood.
Ke ke fakahaofi au mei he kau fai kovi mo ke fakamoʻui au mei he kau tangata pani toto.
3 For behold, they laid wait for my soul, Strong ones are assembled against me, Not my transgression nor my sin, O YHWH.
Vakai, ʻoku nau tatali ʻo lama ki hoku laumālie: ʻE Sihova, kuo kātoa fakataha ʻae kau mālohi kiate au: ka ʻoku ʻikai ʻi heʻeku talangataʻa, pe ko ʻeku angahala.
4 Without punishment they run and prepare themselves, Stir up to meet me, and see.
ʻOku nau feleleʻi ʻo teuʻi ʻakinautolu, ka ʻoku ʻikai haʻaku kovi: ke ke ʻā ke tokoni au, pea ke ʻafioʻi.
5 And You, YHWH, God of Hosts, God of Israel, Awake to inspect all the nations. Do not favor any treacherous dealers of iniquity. (Selah)
Pea ko koe, ʻE Sihova, ko e ʻOtua, ʻoe ngaahi tokolahi, ko e ʻOtua ʻo ʻIsileli, ke ke ʻā hake ʻo ʻahiʻahi ki he hiteni kotoa pē: ʻoua naʻa ke ʻaloʻofa ki he kau angakovi kākā. (Sila)
6 They return at evening, They make a noise like a dog, And go around the city.
ʻOku nau liu mai ʻi he efiafi: ʻoku nau longoaʻa ʻo hangē ko e kulī, pea ʻalu fakatakamilo ʻi he kolo.
7 Behold, they belch out with their mouths, Swords [are] in their lips, for “Who hears?”
Vakai, ʻoku nau hake ʻi honau ngutu: ʻoku ʻi honau loungutu ʻae ngaahi heletā: he ʻoku nau pehē, “ko hai ʻoku ne fanongo?”
8 And You, O YHWH, laugh at them, You mock at all the nations.
Ka ko koe, ʻE Sihova, te ke kata kiate kinautolu; te ke manuki ki he hiteni kotoa pē.
9 O my Strength, to You I take heed, For God [is] my tower—the God of my kindness.
Pea koeʻuhi ko ʻene mālohi ko ia te u tatali ai kiate koe: he ko hoku hūfanga ʻae ʻOtua.
10 God goes before me, He causes me to look on my enemies.
Ko e ʻOtua ʻoku ʻaloʻofa kiate au te ne tokoni au: ʻe tuku kiate au ʻe he ʻOtua ke u mamata ki heʻeku holi ki hoku ngaahi fili.
11 Do not slay them, lest my people forget, Shake them by Your strength, And bring them down, O Lord our shield.
ʻOua naʻa ke tāmateʻi ʻakinautolu, telia naʻa ngalo ʻi hoku kakai; fakahēʻi ʻakinautolu ke mamaʻo ʻi ho mālohi; pea ʻohifo ki lalo ʻakinautolu, ʻE ʻEiki, ko homau fakaū.
12 The sin of their mouth [is] a word of their lips, And they are captured in their pride, And they recount from the curse and lying.
Ko e meʻa ʻi he angahala ʻa honau ngutu, mo e ngaahi lea ʻa honau loungutu, tuku ke moʻua ai ʻakinautolu ʻi heʻenau laukau: koeʻuhi ko e kape mo e loi ʻoku nau lea ʻaki.
13 Consume in fury, consume and they are not, And they know that God is ruling in Jacob, To the ends of the earth. (Selah)
Fakaʻauha ʻakinautolu ʻi he houhau, fakaʻauha ʻakinautolu ke ʻoua naʻa kei ai ʻakinautolu: pea tuku ke ʻilo ʻekinautolu ʻoku pule, ʻae ʻOtua, ʻia Sēkope, ʻo aʻu ki he ngaahi ngataʻanga ʻo māmani. (Sila)
14 And they return at evening, They make a noise like a dog, And they go around the city.
Pea tuku kenau liu mai ʻi he efiafi; tuku kenau longoaʻa ʻo hangē ko e kulī, ʻo ʻalu fakatakamilo ʻi he kolo.
15 They wander for food, If they are not satisfied—then they murmur.
Tuku kenau ʻalu ʻo hē fano ai pē ʻo kumi kai, pea lāunga ʻo kapau ʻe ʻikai tenau mākona.
16 And I sing of Your strength, And at morning I sing of Your kindness, For You have been a tower to me, And a refuge for me in a day of adversity.
Ka te u hiva au ki ho mālohi; ʻio, te u hiva mālohi ʻi hoʻo ʻaloʻofa ʻi he pongipongi: he ko hoku ungaʻanga koe, mo e hūfanga kiate au ʻi he ʻaho ʻo ʻeku mamahi.
17 O my Strength, I sing praise to You, For God [is] my tower, the God of my kindness!
ʻE hoku mālohi, te u hiva kiate koe: he ko hoku kalofanga ʻae ʻOtua, ko e ʻOtua ʻoku ʻaloʻofa kiate au.
