Psalms 58
1 TO THE OVERSEER. “DO NOT DESTROY.” A MIKTAM OF DAVID. Is it true, O silent one, that you speak righteously? Do you judge uprightly, O sons of men?
੧ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਵਜਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਅਲ-ਤਸ਼ਹੇਤ ਦੇ ਰਾਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਊਦ ਦਾ ਭਜਨ। ਹੇ ਬਲਵਾਨ ਸ਼ਾਸਕੋ, ਕੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸੱਚ-ਮੁੱਚ ਧਰਮ ਨਾਲ ਬੋਲਦੇ ਹੋ? ਕੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਦਮ ਵੰਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਸਹੀ ਨਿਆਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ?
2 Even in heart you work iniquities, In the land you ponder the violence of your hands.
੨ਨਹੀਂ, ਸਗੋਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮਨੋਂ ਬਦੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ, ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਦਾ ਅਨ੍ਹੇਰ ਤੋਲ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹੋ?
3 The wicked have been estranged from the womb, They have erred from the belly, speaking lies.
੩ਦੁਸ਼ਟ ਕੁੱਖੋਂ ਹੀ ਓਪਰੇ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਜੰਮਦੇ ਸਾਰ ਹੀ ਝੂਠ ਬੋਲ-ਬੋਲ ਕੇ ਭਟਕ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
4 Their poison [is] as poison of a serpent, As a deaf cobra shutting its ear,
੪ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਿੱਸ ਸੱਪ ਦੀ ਵਿੱਸ ਵਰਗੀ ਹੈ, ਓਹ ਉਸ ਬੋਲੇ ਨਾਗ ਦੀ ਨਿਆਈਂ ਹਨ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੰਨ ਮੁੰਦ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
5 Which does not listen to the voice of whisperers, A charmer of most skillful charms.
੫ਜਿਹੜਾ ਸਪੇਰਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੁਣਦਾ, ਭਾਵੇਂ ਕੇਡੀ ਹੀ ਚਲਾਕੀ ਨਾਲ ਓਹ ਜਾਦੂ ਕਰਨ।
6 O God, break their teeth in their mouth, Break down the jaw-teeth of young lions, O YHWH.
੬ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੰਦਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਭੰਨ ਸੁੱਟ, ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਜੁਆਨ ਬੱਬਰ ਸ਼ੇਰਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਦਾੜ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਟ ਸੁੱਟ।
7 They are melted as waters, They go up and down for themselves, His arrow proceeds as they cut themselves off.
੭ਓਹ ਵਗਦੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਵਹਿ ਜਾਣ, ਜਦ ਓਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਤੀਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨਾ ਮਾਰੇ ਤਾਂ ਓਹ, ਜਾਣੋ, ਟੋਟੇ-ਟੋਟੇ ਹੋ ਜਾਣ!
8 He goes on as a snail that melts, [As] an untimely birth of a woman, They have not seen the sun.
੮ਓਹ ਘੋਗੇ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਹੋਣ ਜੋ ਗਲ਼ ਕੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਓਹ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਦੇ ਗਰਭਪਾਤ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਹੋਣ ਜਿਸ ਸੂਰਜ ਨਹੀਂ ਵੇਖਿਆ!
9 Before your pots discern the bramble, As living, He whirls away in His burning anger.
੯ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਜੋ ਤੁਹਾਡੀਆਂ ਦੇਗਾਂ ਛਾਪਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਤੱਤੀਆਂ ਹੋਣ, ਉਹ ਜਲੇ, ਅਣਜਲੇ, ਦੋਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਾਵਰੋਲੇ ਨਾਲ ਉਡਾ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ।
10 The righteous rejoices that he has seen vengeance, He washes his steps in the blood of the wicked.
੧੦ਧਰਮੀ ਇਹ ਬਦਲਾ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਅਨੰਦ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ, ਉਹ ਦੁਸ਼ਟਾਂ ਦੇ ਲਹੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੈਰ ਧੋਵੇਗਾ।
11 And man says: “Surely fruit [is] for the righteous: Surely there is a God judging in the earth!”
੧੧ਤਦ ਆਦਮੀ ਆਖੇਗਾ, ਧਰਮੀ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਫਲ ਤਾਂ ਹੈ ਹੀ, ਸੱਚ-ਮੁੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਨਿਆਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ!
