Psalms 56

1 TO THE OVERSEER. [SET] ON “A SILENT DOVE FAR OFF.” A MIKTAM OF DAVID, IN THE PHILISTINES’ TAKING HOLD OF HIM IN GATH. Favor me, O God, for man swallowed me up, All the day fighting he oppresses me,

౧ప్రధాన సంగీతకారుని కోసం. యోనతేలెం రెహూకిం అనే రాగంతో పాడేది. ఫిలిష్తీయులు దావీదును గాతులో పట్టుకున్నపుడు అతడు రాసిన కీర్తన. దేవా, నన్ను కరుణించు. మనుషులు నన్ను మింగివేయాలని చూస్తున్నారు. వారు రోజంతా నా మీద పోరాడుతూ నన్ను అణచివేస్తున్నారు.

2 My enemies have swallowed up all the day, For many [are] fighting against me, O Most High,

౨గర్వంగా నాతో పోరాడేవారు అనేకులున్నారు. రోజంతా నా కోసం కాపు కాసి నన్ను మింగాలని చూస్తున్నారు.

3 [In] the day I am afraid I am confident toward You.

౩నాకు భయం కలిగిన రోజున నిన్ను ఆశ్రయిస్తాను.

4 In God I praise His word, in God I have trusted, I do not fear what flesh does to me.

౪నేను ఆయన మాటలను కీర్తిస్తాను. నేను భయపడను. ఎందుకంటే దేవునిలో నమ్మకం పెట్టుకున్నాను. మనుషులు నన్నేమి చేయగలరు?

5 All the day they wrest my words, All their thoughts [are] for evil concerning me,

౫రోజంతా వాళ్ళు నా మాటల్లో తప్పులు వెతుకుతారు. నాకు ఎప్పుడు హాని చేయాలా అని చూస్తుంటారు.

6 They assemble, they hide, they watch my heels, When they have expected my soul.

౬వాళ్ళు గుంపులు గుంపులుగా కాపు కాస్తారు. నన్ను చంపాలని నన్ను వెంబడిస్తూ ఉంటారు.

7 They escape by iniquity, In anger put down the peoples, O God.

౭దేవా, నీ కోపంతో ప్రజలను అణగదొక్కు. వాళ్ళు చేస్తున్న దుష్ట క్రియల ఫలితాలు అనుభవించేలా చెయ్యి.

8 You have counted my wandering, You place my tear in Your bottle, Are they not in Your scroll?

౮నా పలాయనాలను నువ్వు లెక్కించావు. నా అశ్రువులు నీ ఎదుట ఉన్న సీసాలో నింపావు. అవన్నీ నీ పుస్తకంలో కనిపిస్తాయి కదా.

9 Then turn back my enemies in the day I call. This I have known, that God [is] for me.

౯నేను నీకు మొరపెట్టిన రోజున నా శత్రువులు వెనక్కి మళ్లుతారు. దేవుడు నా పక్షాన ఉన్నాడని నాకు తెలుసు.

10 In God I praise the word, In YHWH I praise the word.

౧౦నా దేవుణ్ణి బట్టి ఆయన నామాన్ని కీర్తిస్తాను. యెహోవాను బట్టి ఆయన వాక్కును ఘనపరుస్తాను.

11 In God I trusted, I do not fear what man does to me,

౧౧నేను దేవునిపై నమ్మకం పెట్టుకున్నాను. నేను భయపడను, మనుషులు నన్నేమి చేయగలరు?

12 On me, O God, [are] Your vows, I repay thank-offerings to You.

౧౨దేవా, నువ్వు చావునుండి నా ప్రాణాన్ని తప్పించావు. నేను జీవపు వెలుగులో దేవుని ఎదుట సంచరించాలని నా అడుగులు జారకుండా తప్పించావు.

13 For You have delivered my soul from death, Do You not [keep] my feet from falling? To habitually walk before God in the light of the living!

౧౩అందుకే నేను నీకు మొక్కుకున్నాను. నీకు స్తుతియాగాలు అర్పిస్తాను.
