< Psalms 56 >

1 TO THE OVERSEER. [SET] ON “A SILENT DOVE FAR OFF.” A MIKTAM OF DAVID, IN THE PHILISTINES’ TAKING HOLD OF HIM IN GATH. Favor me, O God, for man swallowed me up, All the day fighting he oppresses me,
Kpɔ nye nublanui, O! Mawu, elabena amegbetɔwo ti yonyeme kple ŋkubiã; ŋkeke blibo la wole yonyeme kutɔkutɔe.
2 My enemies have swallowed up all the day, For many [are] fighting against me, O Most High,
Ame siwo le ŋunye gblẽm la ti yonyeme ŋkeke blibo la, eye wo dometɔ geɖewo tso ɖe ŋunye kple dada.
3 [In] the day I am afraid I am confident toward You.
Maka ɖe dziwò ne vɔvɔ̃ ɖom.
4 In God I praise His word, in God I have trusted, I do not fear what flesh does to me.
Wò Mawu si ƒe nya mekafu, Mawu si dzi meka ɖo; nyemavɔ̃ akpɔ o. Nu ka amegbetɔ, ŋutilã kple ʋu, awɔm ma?
5 All the day they wrest my words, All their thoughts [are] for evil concerning me,
Ŋkeke blibo la wotrɔa gbo nye nyawo, ɣe sia ɣi wole nugbe ɖom be woawɔ nuvevim.
6 They assemble, they hide, they watch my heels, When they have expected my soul.
Woɖo babla, wole ŋu tsam, hele ŋku lém ɖe nye afɔɖeɖewo ŋu, eye wotsi dzi ɖe nye agbetsɔtsrɔ̃ ŋuti.
7 They escape by iniquity, In anger put down the peoples, O God.
Ɖe woƒe vɔ̃ɖinyenye ta la, megana mɔ woasi o; O! Mawu, he dukɔwo ƒu anyi le wò dɔmedzoe me.
8 You have counted my wandering, You place my tear in Your bottle, Are they not in Your scroll?
Ŋlɔ nye konyifafa da ɖi; lé nye aɖatsiwo ɖe agbalẽ dzi; ɖe womele wò nyaŋlɔɖiwo me xoxo oa?
9 Then turn back my enemies in the day I call. This I have known, that God [is] for me.
Ekema nye futɔwo atrɔ adzo, ne meyɔ wò be nàxɔ nam. To esia me la, manya be Mawu nye tɔnye.
10 In God I praise the word, In YHWH I praise the word.
Mawu, ame si ƒe nya mekafu, Yehowa ame si ƒe nya mekafu.
11 In God I trusted, I do not fear what man does to me,
Mawu, ame si dzi meka ɖo; nyemavɔ̃ o. Nu ka amegbetɔ ate ŋu awɔm?
12 On me, O God, [are] Your vows, I repay thank-offerings to You.
O! Mawu, meɖe adzɔgbe na wò, eya ta maxe adzɔgbeɖefe na wò.
13 For You have delivered my soul from death, Do You not [keep] my feet from falling? To habitually walk before God in the light of the living!
Elabena èɖem tso ku me, eye nèna be nye afɔwo hã magaɖiɖi o, ne mate ŋu azɔ le Mawu ŋkume le agbagbeawo ƒe anyigba dzi.
