Psalms 56

1 TO THE OVERSEER. [SET] ON “A SILENT DOVE FAR OFF.” A MIKTAM OF DAVID, IN THE PHILISTINES’ TAKING HOLD OF HIM IN GATH. Favor me, O God, for man swallowed me up, All the day fighting he oppresses me,

Al la ĥorestro. Por Jonatelem-reĥokim. Verko de David, kiam kaptis lin la Filiŝtoj en Gat. Korfavoru min, ho Dio, ĉar homo volas min engluti, Dum la tuta tago malamiko min premas.

2 My enemies have swallowed up all the day, For many [are] fighting against me, O Most High,

Miaj malamikoj volas min engluti ĉiutage, Ĉar multaj militas kontraŭ mi fiere.

3 [In] the day I am afraid I am confident toward You.

En la tago, kiam mi timas, Mi fidas Vin.

4 In God I praise His word, in God I have trusted, I do not fear what flesh does to me.

Dion, kies vorton mi gloras, Tiun Dion mi fidas; mi ne timas: Kion karno faros al mi?

5 All the day they wrest my words, All their thoughts [are] for evil concerning me,

Dum la tuta tago ili atakas miajn vortojn; Ĉiuj iliaj pensoj pri mi estas por malbono.

6 They assemble, they hide, they watch my heels, When they have expected my soul.

Ili kolektiĝas, embuskas, observas miajn paŝojn, Penante kapti mian animon.

7 They escape by iniquity, In anger put down the peoples, O God.

Por ilia malbonago repagu al ili, En kolero faligu la popolojn, ho Dio!

8 You have counted my wandering, You place my tear in Your bottle, Are they not in Your scroll?

Mian vagadon Vi kalkulis; Metu miajn larmojn en Vian felsakon, Ili estas ja en Via libro.

9 Then turn back my enemies in the day I call. This I have known, that God [is] for me.

Tiam miaj malamikoj returniĝos malantaŭen en la tago, kiam mi vokos; Tion mi scias, ke Dio estas kun mi.

10 In God I praise the word, In YHWH I praise the word.

Mi gloros vorton de Dio; Mi gloros vorton de la Eternulo.

11 In God I trusted, I do not fear what man does to me,

Dion mi fidas, mi ne timas: Kion faros al mi homo?

12 On me, O God, [are] Your vows, I repay thank-offerings to You.

Mi faris al Vi, ho Dio, promesojn, Mi plenumos al Vi dankoferojn.

13 For You have delivered my soul from death, Do You not [keep] my feet from falling? To habitually walk before God in the light of the living!

Ĉar Vi savis mian animon de la morto, Kaj miajn piedojn de falpuŝiĝo, Por ke mi iradu antaŭ Dio En la lumo de la vivo.
