Psalms 54

1 TO THE OVERSEER. WITH STRINGED INSTRUMENTS. AN INSTRUCTION OF DAVID, IN THE COMING IN OF THE ZIPHIM, AND THEY SAY TO SAUL, “IS DAVID NOT HIDING HIMSELF WITH US?” O God, save me by Your Name, and judge me by Your might.

Al Músico principal: en Neginoth: Masquil de David, cuando vinieron los Zipheos y dijeron á Saúl: ¿No está David escondido en nuestra tierra? OH Dios, sálvame por tu nombre, y con tu poder defiéndeme.

2 O God, hear my prayer, Give ear to the sayings of my mouth,

Oh Dios, oye mi oración; escucha las razones de mi boca.

3 For strangers have risen up against me And terrible ones have sought my soul, They have not set God before them. (Selah)

Porque extraños se han levantado contra mí, y fuertes buscan mi alma: no han puesto á Dios delante de sí. (Selah)

4 Behold, God [is] a helper to me, The Lord [is] with those supporting my soul,

He aquí, Dios es el que me ayuda; el Señor es con los que sostienen mi vida.

5 Turn back the evil to my enemies, Cut them off in Your truth.

El volverá el mal á mis enemigos: córtalos por tu verdad.

6 I sacrifice to You with a free-will offering, I thank Your Name, O YHWH, for [it is] good,

Voluntariamente sacrificaré á ti; alabaré tu nombre, oh Jehová, porque es bueno.

7 For He delivered me from all adversity, And my eye has looked on my enemies!

Porque me ha librado de toda angustia, y en mis enemigos vieron mis ojos [mi deseo].
