Psalms 54

1 TO THE OVERSEER. WITH STRINGED INSTRUMENTS. AN INSTRUCTION OF DAVID, IN THE COMING IN OF THE ZIPHIM, AND THEY SAY TO SAUL, “IS DAVID NOT HIDING HIMSELF WITH US?” O God, save me by Your Name, and judge me by Your might.

Instrução de Davi, para o regente, para instrumentos de cordas, quando os zifeus vieram, e disseram a Saul: “Não está Davi escondido entre nós?”: Deus, salva-me por teu nome; e faze-me justiça por teu poder.

2 O God, hear my prayer, Give ear to the sayings of my mouth,

Deus, ouve minha oração; inclina teus ouvidos aos dizeres de minha boca;

3 For strangers have risen up against me And terrible ones have sought my soul, They have not set God before them. (Selah)

Porque estranhos se levantam contra mim, e [homens] terríveis procuram [matar] a minha alma; não põem a Deus diante dos olhos deles. (Selá)

4 Behold, God [is] a helper to me, The Lord [is] with those supporting my soul,

Eis que Deus é o que me socorre; o Senhor [está] com aqueles que sustentam a minha alma.

5 Turn back the evil to my enemies, Cut them off in Your truth.

Ele retribuirá com o mal aos que me espiam [contra mim]; tu os elimina por tua verdade.

6 I sacrifice to You with a free-will offering, I thank Your Name, O YHWH, for [it is] good,

De boa vontade eu te oferecerei sacrifícios; louvarei o teu nome, SENHOR, porque é bom.

7 For He delivered me from all adversity, And my eye has looked on my enemies!

Porque tu tens me livrado de toda angústia; e meus olhos verão [o fim] de meus inimigos.
