< Psalms 53 >
1 TO THE OVERSEER. “ON A DISEASE.” AN INSTRUCTION OF DAVID. A fool said in his heart, “There is no God.” They have done corruptly, Indeed, they have done abominable iniquity, There is none doing good.
Kwa mtsogoleri wa mayimbidwe. Potsata mayimbidwe a Mahalati. Ndakatulo ya Davide. Chitsiru chimati mu mtima mwake, “Kulibe Mulungu.” Iwo ndi oyipa ndipo njira zawo ndi zonyansa; palibe ndi mmodzi yemwe amene amachita chabwino.
2 God looked on the sons of men from the heavens, To see if there is an understanding one, [One] seeking God.
Mulungu kumwamba amayangʼana pansi pano pa ana a anthu kuti aone ngati alipo wina wanzeru, wofunafuna Mulungu.
3 Everyone went back, together they became filthy, There is none doing good—not even one.
Aliyense wabwerera, iwo onse pamodzi akhala oyipa; palibe ndi mmodzi yemwe amene amachita chabwino, ngakhale mmodzi.
4 Workers of iniquity have not known, Those eating my people have eaten bread, They have not called God.
Kodi anthu ochita zoyipawa adzaphunziradi; anthu amene amadya anthu anga monga mmene anthu amadyera buledi, ndipo sapemphera kwa Mulungu?
5 There they feared a fear—there was no fear, For God has scattered the bones of him Who is encamping against you, You have put to shame, For God has despised them.
Iwo anali pamenepo atathedwa nzeru ndi mantha aakulu pamene panalibe kanthu kochititsa mantha. Mulungu anamwazamwaza mafupa a anthu amene anakuthirani nkhondo; inuyo munawachititsa manyazi, pakuti Mulungu anawanyoza.
6 Who gives the salvation of Israel from Zion? When God turns back [to] a captivity of His people, Jacob rejoices—Israel is glad!
Ndithu, chipulumutso cha Israeli nʼchochokera ku Ziyoni! Pamene Mulungu adzabwezeretsanso ulemerero wa anthu ake, lolani Yakobo akondwere ndi Israeli asangalale!
