Psalms 53

1 TO THE OVERSEER. “ON A DISEASE.” AN INSTRUCTION OF DAVID. A fool said in his heart, “There is no God.” They have done corruptly, Indeed, they have done abominable iniquity, There is none doing good.

১প্রধান বাদ্যকরের জন্য। স্বর মহলৎ। দায়ূদের একটি মস্কীল। বোকা তার মনে মনে বলে, “কোন ঈশ্বর নেই।” তারা অসৎ এবং তারা ঘৃণ্য পাপ করেছে; এমন কেউ নেই যে ভাল কাজ করে।

2 God looked on the sons of men from the heavens, To see if there is an understanding one, [One] seeking God.

২ঈশ্বর স্বর্গ থেকে মানবজাতির সন্তানদের প্রতি দেখলেন কেউ আছে কি না যে বুঝতে পারে ও যারা তাঁর খোঁজ করে।

3 Everyone went back, together they became filthy, There is none doing good—not even one.

৩সবাই বিপথে গেছে, সবাই নিষ্ঠুর হয়ে উঠেছে; ভালো কাজ করে এমন কেউ নেই, একজনও নেই।

4 Workers of iniquity have not known, Those eating my people have eaten bread, They have not called God.

৪যারা পাপ করে, তারা কি কিছুই জানে না? তারা আমার লোকেদেরকে গ্রাস করে এবং বাস করে, কিন্তু তারা ঈশ্বরের প্রার্থনা করে না।

5 There they feared a fear—there was no fear, For God has scattered the bones of him Who is encamping against you, You have put to shame, For God has despised them.

৫তারা ভীষণ ভয় পেয়েছিল, যদিও ভয় করার কোন কারণ ছিল; কারণ তোমাদের বিরুদ্ধে যারা যুদ্ধ করবে সেই অধার্মিকদের হাড়গুলো ঈশ্বর ছড়িয়ে দেবেন; সেই লোকদেরকে লজ্জিত করা হবে কারণ তারা ঈশ্বরকে প্রত্যাখ্যান করেছেন।

6 Who gives the salvation of Israel from Zion? When God turns back [to] a captivity of His people, Jacob rejoices—Israel is glad!

৬আহা! ইস্রায়েলের পরিত্রান সিয়োন থেকে আসবে; ঈশ্বর যখন তাঁর লোকেদের বন্দিদশা থেকে ফিরিয়ে আনবেন, তখন যাকোব উল্লাসিত হবে, ইস্রায়েল আনন্দ করবে।
