Psalms 52

1 TO THE OVERSEER. AN INSTRUCTION OF DAVID, IN THE COMING IN OF DOEG THE EDOMITE, AND HE DECLARES TO SAUL AND SAYS TO HIM, “DAVID CAME TO THE HOUSE OF AHIMELECH.” Why do you boast in evil, O mighty one? The kindness of God [is] all the day.

Al Vencedor: Masquil de David, cuando vino Doeg el edomita y dio cuenta a Saúl, diciéndole: David ha venido a casa de Ahimelec. ¿Por qué te glorías de maldad, oh ilustre? La misericordia de Dios es cada día.

2 Your tongue devises mischiefs, Like a sharp razor, working deceit.

Agravios maquina tu lengua; como navaja amolada hace engaño.

3 You have loved evil rather than good, Lying, than speaking righteousness. (Selah)

Amaste el mal más que el bien; la mentira más que hablar justicia. (Selah)

4 You have loved all devouring words, O you deceitful tongue.

Has amado toda suerte de palabras perniciosas, engañosa lengua.

5 Also—God breaks you down forever, Takes you, and pulls you out of the tent, And He has uprooted you Out of the land of the living. (Selah)

Por tanto Dios te derribará para siempre; te cortará y te arrancará de tu morada, y te desarraigará de la tierra de los vivientes. (Selah)

6 And the righteous see, And fear, and laugh at him.

Y verán los justos, y temerán; y se reirán de él, diciendo:

7 “Behold, the man who does not make God his strong place, And trusts in the abundance of his riches, He is strong in his mischiefs.”

He aquí un varón que no puso a Dios por su fortaleza, sino que confió en la multitud de sus riquezas; se esforzó en su maldad.

8 And I, as a green olive in the house of God, I have trusted in the kindness of God, For all time and forever,

Mas yo estoy como oliva verde en la Casa de Dios; confié en la misericordia de Dios perpetua y eternalmente.

9 I thank You for all time, because You have done [it], And I wait [on] Your Name for [it is] good before Your saints!

Te alabaré para siempre porque obraste; y esperaré a tu Nombre, porque es bueno, delante de tus misericordiosos.
