Psalms 52
1 TO THE OVERSEER. AN INSTRUCTION OF DAVID, IN THE COMING IN OF DOEG THE EDOMITE, AND HE DECLARES TO SAUL AND SAYS TO HIM, “DAVID CAME TO THE HOUSE OF AHIMELECH.” Why do you boast in evil, O mighty one? The kindness of God [is] all the day.
Dura buʼaa faarfattootaatiif. Maskiilii Daawit. Dooʼeeg namni biyya Edoomii yeroo gara Saaʼolii dhaqee, “Daawit gara mana Ahiimelekii dhufeera” jedhee itti himetti faarfatame. Yaa nama jabaa nana, ati maaliif hamminaan koorta? Ati namni fuula Waaqaa duratti tuffatamtu, maaliif guyyaa guutuu koorta?
2 Your tongue devises mischiefs, Like a sharp razor, working deceit.
Ati namni nama gowwoomsitu, arrabni kee badiisa qopheessa; arrabni kee akkuma qarabaa qaramee ti.
3 You have loved evil rather than good, Lying, than speaking righteousness. (Selah)
Ati waan gaarii irra waan hamaa jaallatta; dhugaa dubbachuu irra immoo soba dubbachuu jaallatta.
4 You have loved all devouring words, O you deceitful tongue.
Yaa arraba gowwoomsituu nana, ati dubbii nama miidhu hunda jaallatta.
5 Also—God breaks you down forever, Takes you, and pulls you out of the tent, And He has uprooted you Out of the land of the living. (Selah)
Kanaafuu Waaqni bara baraan si balleessa: Inni dunkaana kee keessaa butee si ciccira; biyya jiraattotaa keessaas si buqqisa.
6 And the righteous see, And fear, and laugh at him.
Qajeeltonni waan kana arganii sodaatan; isaanis akkana jedhanii isatti kolfan;
7 “Behold, the man who does not make God his strong place, And trusts in the abundance of his riches, He is strong in his mischiefs.”
“Kunoo, namicha Waaqa daʼoo isaa hin godhatin, qooda kanaa immoo baayʼina qabeenya isaa amanatee jalʼina ofiitti ciche!”
8 And I, as a green olive in the house of God, I have trusted in the kindness of God, For all time and forever,
Ani garuu akkuma ejersa mana Waaqaa keessatti lalisuu ti; baraa hamma bara baraattis, jaalala Waaqaa kan hin geeddaramne sana nan amanadha.
9 I thank You for all time, because You have done [it], And I wait [on] Your Name for [it is] good before Your saints!
Sababii ati waan kana gooteef ani bara baraan sin galateeffadha; sababii maqaan kee gaarii taʼeef ani maqaa kee nan abdadha. Fuula qulqulloota kee durattis sin leellisa.
