Psalms 50
1 A PSALM OF ASAPH. The God of gods—YHWH—has spoken, And He calls to the earth From the rising of the sun to its going in.
O Deus poderoso, o Senhor, falou e chamou a terra desde o nascimento do sol até ao seu ocaso.
2 From Zion, the perfection of beauty, God shone.
Desde Sião, a perfeição da formosura, resplandeceu Deus.
3 Our God comes, and is not silent, Fire devours before Him, And around Him it has been very tempestuous.
Virá o nosso Deus, e não se calará; um fogo se irá consumindo diante dele, e haverá grande tormenta ao redor dele.
4 He calls to the heavens from above, And to the earth, to judge His people.
Chamará os céus lá do alto, e a terra, para julgar o seu povo.
5 Gather My saints to Me, Making covenant with Me over a sacrifice.
Ajuntai-me os meus santos, aqueles que fizeram comigo um concerto com sacrifícios.
6 And the heavens declare His righteousness, For God Himself is judging. (Selah)
E os céus anunciarão a sua justiça; pois Deus mesmo é o Juiz (Selah)
7 Hear, O My people, and I speak, O Israel, and I testify against you, God—I [am] your God.
Ouve, povo meu, e eu falarei; Ó Israel, e eu protestarei contia ti: Sou Deus, sou o teu Deus.
8 I do not reprove you for your sacrifices, Indeed, your burnt-offerings [Are] continually before Me.
Não te repreenderei pelos teus sacrifícios, ou holocaustos, que estão continuamente perante mim.
9 I do not take a bullock from your house, [Or] male goats from your folds.
Da tua casa não tirarei bezerro nem bodes dos teus currais.
10 For every beast of the forest [is] Mine, The livestock on the hills of oxen.
Porque meu é todo o animal da selva, e o gado sobre milhares de montanhas.
11 I have known every bird of the mountains, And the wild beast of the field [is] with Me.
Conheço todas as aves dos montes; e minhas são todas as feras do campo.
12 If I am hungry I do not tell [it] to you, For the world and its fullness [is] Mine.
Se eu tivesse fome, não to diria, pois meu é o mundo e toda a sua plenitude.
13 Do I eat the flesh of bulls, And drink the blood of male goats?
Comerei eu carne de touros? ou beberei sangue de bodes?
14 Sacrifice to God confession, And complete your vows to the Most High.
Oferece a Deus sacrifício de louvor, e paga ao altíssimo os teus votos.
15 And call Me in a day of adversity, I deliver you, and you honor Me.
E invoca-me no dia da angústia: eu te livrarei, e tu me glorificarás.
16 And to the wicked God has said: What to you—to recount My statutes? That you lift up My covenant on your mouth?
Mas ao ímpio diz Deus: Que fazes tu em recitar os meus estatutos, e em tomar o meu concerto na tua boca?
17 Indeed, you have hated instruction, And cast My words behind you.
Visto que aborreces a correção, e lanças as minhas palavras para detraz de ti
18 If you have seen a thief, Then you are pleased with him, And your portion [is] with adulterers.
Quando vês o ladrão, consentes com ele, e tens a tua parte com adúlteros.
19 You have sent forth your mouth with evil, And your tongue joins deceit together,
Soltas a tua boca para o mal, e a tua língua compõe o engano.
20 You sit, you speak against your brother, You give slander against a son of your mother.
Assentas-te a falar contra teu irmão; falas mal contra o filho de tua mãe.
21 These you did, and I kept silent, You have thought that I am like you, I reprove you, and set in array before your eyes.
Estas coisas tens feito, e eu me calei; pensavas que era tal como tu; mas eu te arguirei, e as porei por ordem diante dos teus olhos.
22 Now understand this, You who are forgetting God, Lest I tear, and there is no deliverer.
Ouvi pois isto, vós que vos esqueceis de Deus; para que vos não faça em pedaços, sem haver quem vos livre.
23 He who is sacrificing praise honors Me, As for him who makes a way, I cause him to look on the salvation of God!
Aquele que oferece o sacrifício de louvor me glorificará; e àquele que bem ordena o seu caminho eu mostrarei a salvação de Deus.
