< Psalms 49 >
1 TO THE OVERSEER. A PSALM OF THE SONS OF KORAH. Hear this, all you peoples, Give ear, all you inhabitants of the world.
Komail kainok kan karos rong o dedeki, komail toun sap karos,
2 Both low and high, together rich and needy.
Ir karos, aramas o saupeidi, ir karos me kapwapwa o samama kan!
3 My mouth speaks wise things, And the meditations of my heart [are] things of understanding.
Au ai pan kaparok duen lolekong, o mongiong i duen lamalam pung.
4 I incline my ear to an allegory, I open my riddle with a harp:
I pan kapaike dong salong ai lepen masan, o i pan kasaleda me rir akan ni ngil en arp.
5 Why do I fear in days of evil? The iniquity of my supplanters surrounds me.
Da me i en masak ni ran apwal akan, ma me sapung kan kapil ia pena,
6 Those trusting on their wealth, And in the multitude of their riches, Show themselves foolish.
Me kin kaporoporeki ar dipisou o suaiki ar kapwa toto?
7 A brother ransoms no one at all, He does not give to God his atonement.
Pwe sota me kak dorela ri a, de tomeki i ren Kot,
8 And precious [is] the redemption of their soul, And it has ceased for all time.
(Pwe meid apwal, en dorela ngen ar; a sota pan pwaida kokolata).
9 And still he lives forever, He does not see the pit.
Pwen maur potopot o sota kilang sousou o.
10 For he sees wise men die, Together the foolish and brutish perish, And have left their wealth to others.
Pwe a kin kilang, me lolekong kan kin mela dueta me pweipwei o iakalar akan, o re pan mueid ong amen ar dipisou kan.
11 Their heart [is that] their houses [are] for all time, Their dwelling places from generation to generation. They proclaimed their names over the lands.
I me re kin peren kida, ma im arail pan duedueta, o deu’rail pan mimieta kokolata; o re konekon melel nin sappa.
12 And man does not remain in honor, He has been like the beasts, they have been cut off.
Ari so, aramas me konekon sota kak mimieta ni mepukat, pwe a pan kokowei dueta man amen.
13 This their way [is] folly for them, And their posterity are pleased with their sayings. (Selah)
Iet ar wiawia pukat meid pweipwei; ari so, kadaudok ar kin kapinga ki au arail. (Sela)
14 They have set themselves as sheep for Sheol, Death afflicts them, And the upright rule over them in the morning, And their form [is] for consumption. Sheol [is] a dwelling for him. (Sheol )
Re wonon nan wasan mela dueta pwin sip; mela kin kamanga ir; a me lelapok kan pan kaun irail da madang, o mom ar pan soredi, o re pan doo sang deu’rail, mimieta nan pweleko. (Sheol )
15 Only, God ransoms my soul from the hand of Sheol, For He receives me. (Selah) (Sheol )
A Kot pan kotin dorela ngen i sang nan mana en wasan mela, pwe a pan kotin sapwilimane kin ia. (Sela) (Sheol )
16 Do not fear when one makes wealth, When the glory of his house is abundant,
Koe der puriamuiki, ma amen pan kapwapwala, o ma lingan en im a pan laudala.
17 For at his death he receives nothing, His glory does not go down after him.
Pwe a sota pan wala meakot ni a pan mela, o a lingan sota pan idauenla i.
18 For he blesses his soul in his life (And they praise you when you do well for yourself).
A kin insenemau kila peren en maur kaselel wet, o aramas kin kapinga ir, me kin apapwali pein ir eta ni maur et.
19 It comes to the generation of his fathers, They do not see the light forever.
A pan idauen la sam a kan, ap solar kilang marain kokolata.
20 Man in honor, who does not understand, Has been like the beasts, they have been cut off!
Ari, ma aramas amen indand mau, ap sota a lamalam, a pan kokowei dueta man amen.
