Psalms 48

1 A SONG. A PSALM OF THE SONS OF KORAH. Great [is] YHWH, and greatly praised, In the city of our God—His holy hill.

¡Grande es Yavé y digno de suprema alabanza! En la ciudad de nuestro ʼElohim, su Montaña Santa.

2 Beautiful [for] elevation, A joy of all the land, [is] Mount Zion, The sides of the north, the city of [the] great King.

Hermosa elevación, el gozo de toda la tierra Es la Montaña Sion en el lejano norte, la ciudad del gran Rey.

3 God is known for a tower in her high places.

En sus palacios ʼElohim se presentó como una Fortaleza.

4 For behold, the kings met, they passed by together,

Porque ciertamente se aliaron los reyes, Avanzaron unidos.

5 They have seen—so they have marveled, They have been troubled, they were hurried away.

La miraron, fueron asombrados. Se aterrorizaron, huyeron alarmados.

6 Trembling has seized them there, Pain, as of a travailing woman.

Allí se apoderó de ellos un temblor, Angustia como de parturienta.

7 By an east wind You shatter ships of Tarshish.

Con el viento que sopla del oriente Quiebras las naves de Tarsis.

8 As we have heard, so we have seen, In the city of YHWH of hosts, In the city of our God, God establishes her for all time. (Selah)

Como lo oímos, lo vimos en la ciudad de Yavé de las huestes, La ciudad de nuestro ʼElohim. ʼElohim la afirmará para siempre. (Selah)

9 We have thought, O God, of Your kindness, In the midst of Your temple,

Nos acordamos de tu misericordia, oh ʼElohim, en tu Templo.

10 As [is] Your Name, O God, so [is] Your praise, Over the ends of the earth, Righteousness has filled Your right hand.

Como tu Nombre, oh ʼElohim, Así es tu alabanza hasta los confines de la tierra. Tu mano derecha está llena de justicia.

11 Mount Zion rejoices, The daughters of Judah are joyful, For the sake of Your judgments.

¡Alégrese la Montaña Sion! ¡Regocíjense las hijas de Judá A causa de tus juicios!

12 Surround Zion, and go around her, count her towers,

Anden alrededor de Sion y rodéenla. Cuenten sus torres.

13 Set your heart to her bulwark, Consider her high places, So that you recount to a later generation,

Observen atentamente su muro exterior. Contemplen sus palacios Para que lo cuenten a la generación venidera.

14 That this God [is] our God—For all time and forever, He leads us over death!

Porque este ʼElohim es nuestro ʼElohim, Eternamente y para siempre. ¡Él nos guiará hasta la muerte!
