Psalms 48

1 A SONG. A PSALM OF THE SONS OF KORAH. Great [is] YHWH, and greatly praised, In the city of our God—His holy hill.

Grande é o Senhor e mui digno de louvor, na cidade do nosso Deus, no seu monte sancto.

2 Beautiful [for] elevation, A joy of all the land, [is] Mount Zion, The sides of the north, the city of [the] great King.

Formoso de sitio, e alegria de toda a terra é o monte de Sião sobre os lados do norte, a cidade do grande Rei.

3 God is known for a tower in her high places.

Deus é conhecido nos seus palacios por um alto refugio.

4 For behold, the kings met, they passed by together,

Porque eis que os reis se ajuntaram: elles passaram juntos.

5 They have seen—so they have marveled, They have been troubled, they were hurried away.

Viram-n'o, e ficaram maravilhados; ficaram assombrados e se apressaram em fugir.

6 Trembling has seized them there, Pain, as of a travailing woman.

Tremor ali os tomou, e dôres como de mulher de parto.

7 By an east wind You shatter ships of Tarshish.

Tu quebras as náus de Tarsis com um vento oriental.

8 As we have heard, so we have seen, In the city of YHWH of hosts, In the city of our God, God establishes her for all time. (Selah)

Como o ouvimos, assim o vimos na cidade do Senhor dos Exercitos, na cidade do nosso Deus. Deus a confirmará para sempre (Selah)

9 We have thought, O God, of Your kindness, In the midst of Your temple,

Lembramo-nos, ó Deus, da tua benignidade no meio do teu templo.

10 As [is] Your Name, O God, so [is] Your praise, Over the ends of the earth, Righteousness has filled Your right hand.

Segundo é o teu nome, ó Deus, assim é o teu louvor, até aos fins da terra: a tua mão direita está cheia de justiça.

11 Mount Zion rejoices, The daughters of Judah are joyful, For the sake of Your judgments.

Alegre-se o monte de Sião; alegrem-se as filhas de Judah por causa dos teus juizos.

12 Surround Zion, and go around her, count her towers,

Rodeae Sião, e cercae-a, contae as suas torres.

13 Set your heart to her bulwark, Consider her high places, So that you recount to a later generation,

Marcae bem os seus antemuros, considerae os seus palacios, para que o conteis á geração seguinte.

14 That this God [is] our God—For all time and forever, He leads us over death!

Porque este Deus é o nosso Deus para sempre, elle será nosso guia até á morte.
