< Psalms 46 >

1 TO THE OVERSEER. BY SONS OF KORAH. FOR GIRLS’ [VOICES]. A SONG. God [is] our refuge and strength, A most sure help in adversities.
Thaburi ya Ariũ a Kora Ngai nĩwe rĩũrĩro riitũ o na hinya witũ, o we ũteithio witũ hĩndĩ ya mathĩĩna.
2 Therefore we do not fear in the changing of earth, And in the slipping of mountains Into the heart of the seas.
Tondũ ũcio tũtingĩĩtigĩra, o na thĩ ĩngĩthingitha, na irĩma igwe iria-inĩ,
3 Roar—troubled are its waters, Mountains shake in its pride. (Selah)
o na maaĩ marĩo mangĩruruma na mahũyũke, nginya irĩma igathingithio nĩ nditi yamo.
4 A river—its streams make glad the city of God, Your holy place of the dwelling places of the Most High.
Nĩ kũrĩ rũũĩ rũrĩa tũrũũĩ twaruo tũkenagia itũũra rĩa Ngai, gĩikaro kĩu kĩamũre kĩa Ũrĩa-ũrĩ-Igũrũ-Mũno.
5 God [is] in her midst—she is not moved, God helps her at the turn of the morning!
Ngai arĩ kũu thĩinĩ wa itũũra rĩu, na rĩtikenyenyeka; Ngai nĩwe ũkaarĩteithia kĩrooko gũgĩkĩa.
6 Nations have been troubled, Kingdoms have been moved, He has given forth with His voice—earth melts.
Ndũrĩrĩ nĩiraronja, namo mothamaki makenyenya; nake agũũthũka-rĩ, thĩ ĩgatweka.
7 YHWH of Hosts [is] with us, The God of Jacob [is] a tower for us. (Selah)
Jehova Mwene-Hinya-Wothe arĩ hamwe na ithuĩ; Ngai wa Jakubu nĩwe kĩirigo giitũ kĩa hinya.
8 Come, see the works of YHWH, Who has done astonishing things in the earth,
Ũkai muone ciĩko iria Jehova ekĩte, ũkai muone ũrĩa akirĩtie thĩ ihooru.
9 Causing wars to cease, To the end of the earth, He shatters the bow, And He has cut apart the spear, He burns chariots with fire.
Aniinaga mbaara nginya ituri cia thĩ; oinaga ũta na agathethera itimũ, na agacina ngo na mwaki.
10 Desist, and know that I [am] God, I am exalted among nations, I am exalted in the earth.
“Hoorerai, na mũmenye atĩ niĩ nĩ niĩ Ngai; nĩngatũũgĩrio ndũrĩrĩ-inĩ, na ndũũgĩrio thĩ yothe.”
11 YHWH of hosts [is] with us, The God of Jacob [is] a tower for us! (Selah)
