< Psalms 44 >
1 TO THE OVERSEER. AN INSTRUCTION OF THE SONS OF KORAH. O God, we have heard with our ears, Our fathers have recounted to us, The work You worked in their days, In the days of old.
MAIN Kot, je roner ki jalon at, jam at oko kajokajoi on kit er, me kom kotin wiadar ni ar anjau maj.
2 You, [with] Your hand, have dispossessed nations. And You plant them. You afflict peoples, and send them away.
Kom kotin pakiweier men liki kan ki lim omui, ap wilian ir di; kom kotin koko jan wei kan, ap id katotoe ir ala.
3 For they did not possess the land by their sword, And their arm did not give salvation to them, But Your right hand, and Your arm, And the light of Your countenance, Because You had accepted them.
Pwe re jota kaloedier jap o ki ar kodlaj, o pa arail jota katepa on ir, pwe pali maun omui o lim omui, o marain en jilan omui; pweki kom kotin kupura irail er.
4 You [are] He, my King, O God, Command the deliverances of Jacob.
Pwe komui Kot ai Nanmarki, me inauki on, Iakop, en jauaja i.
5 By You we push our adversaries, By Your Name we tread down our withstanders,
Komui, me je pan kawekila at imwintiti kan; ni mar omui me je pan tiakekidi me kin palian kit.
6 For I do not trust in my bow, And my sword does not save me.
Pwe i jota kin kaporoporeki ai kajik katieu, o ai kodlaj jota kak dore ia la.
7 For You have saved us from our adversaries, And You have put to shame those hating us.
Pwe komui me kin jauaja kit jan at imwintiti kan, o kom kin kanamenokala, me kailon kin kit.
8 In God we have boasted all the day, And we thank Your Name for all time. (Selah)
Ran karoj je pan kapina Kot, o je pan danke on mar omui kokolata.
9 In anger You have cast off and cause us to blush, And do not go forth with our hosts.
Ari jo, kom kotin likidmalie kin kit ala, pwe jen lijela, o komui jota ian at karij akan.
10 You cause us to turn backward from an adversary, And those hating us, Have spoiled for themselves.
Kom kotin mueid on at imwintiti, ren paki kit wei, o me kailon kin kit, kin kulia jan at kapwa.
11 You make us food like sheep, And You have scattered us among nations.
Kom kotin mueid on ir, ren kawe kit ala dueta jip oko, o kom kotin kamueit kit pajan nan pun en men liki kan.
12 You sell Your people—without wealth, And have not become great by their price.
Kom netikila japwilim omui kan ni pwai jued, a komui ap jota kapwapwa kilar.
13 You make us a reproach to our neighbors, A scorn and a reproach to our surrounders.
Kom kin kotin wiai on kit, jen kankaurur ren men imp at, o lalaue o jarodi ren me kapil kit pena.
14 You make us an allegory among nations, A shaking of the head among peoples.
Kom kotin wia kin kit karajepa eu ren men liki kan o aramaj akan kin duedualok kin kit.
15 All the day my confusion [is] before me, And the shame of my face has covered me.
I kin jaro nin ran karoj o maj ai me dir en namenok,
16 Because of the voice of a reproacher and reviler, Because of an enemy and a self-avenger.
Ni ai roneron aramaj morjued o lalaue, o ni ai kilekilan ai imwintiti o me kin akdepuk kan.
17 All this met us, and we did not forget You, Nor have we dealt falsely in Your covenant.
Mepukat karoj lel don kit er, ari jo, je jota kak monokela komui, de wia dip on japwilim omui inau.
18 We do not turn our heart backward, Nor turn aside our step from Your path.
Monion at jota pupwei jan komui, o je jota wuki wei jan al omui.
19 But You have struck us in a place of dragons, And cover us over with death-shade.
A komui kawe kit alar ni wajan man jued, o kom kadupale kidi mot en mela.
20 If we have forgotten the Name of our God, And spread our hands to a strange God,
Ma je monokela mar en at Kol, o pokada pa at on amen kot,
21 Does God not search this out? For He knows the secrets of the heart.
Kot jota pan kotin diarada? Pwe a kotin mani lol en monion at.
22 Surely, for Your sake we have been slain all the day, Reckoned as sheep of the slaughter.
Pwe kit kin kalokoloke kin komui ni ran karoj, o kit rajon jip me pan kamela.
23 Stir up—why do You sleep, O Lord? Awake, do not cast us off forever.
Main i, kom kotida! Da me kom kotin jaimokela? Kotin opada waja, o der kajapoke kit ala kolata!
24 Why do You hide Your face? You forget our afflictions and our oppression,
Da me kom kotin karirila jilan omui, o kotin maliela at luet o at kalokolok?
25 For our soul has bowed to the dust, Our belly has cleaved to the earth.
Pwe nen it poridier ni pwel par; kaped it paj on pwel.
26 Arise, a help to us, And ransom us for your kindness’ sake.
Kom kotida, jauaja kit, o dore kit ala pweki omui kalanan.
