Psalms 4
1 TO THE OVERSEER. WITH STRINGED INSTRUMENTS. A PSALM OF DAVID. In my calling answer me, O God of my righteousness. In adversity You gave enlargement to me; Favor me, and hear my prayer.
Al Vencedor, en Neginot: Salmo de David. Respóndeme cuando llamo, oh Dios de mi justicia. Estando en angustia, tú me hiciste ensanchar; ten misericordia de mí, y oye mi oración.
2 Sons of men! Until when [is] my glory for shame? You love a vain thing, you seek a lie. (Selah)
Hijos de los hombres, ¿hasta cuándo volveréis mi honra en infamia, amaréis la vanidad, y buscaréis la mentira? (Selah)
3 And know that YHWH Has separated a saintly one to Himself. YHWH hears in my calling to Him.
Sabed pues, que el SEÑOR hizo apartar al pío para sí; el SEÑOR oirá cuando yo a él clamare.
4 “Tremble, and do not sin”; Say [thus] in your heart on your bed, And be silent. (Selah)
Temblad, y no pequéis. Meditad en vuestro corazón sobre vuestra cama, y desistid. (Selah)
5 Sacrifice sacrifices of righteousness, And trust in YHWH.
Ofreced sacrificios de justicia, y confiad en el SEÑOR.
6 Many are saying, “Who shows us good?” Lift on us the light of Your face, O YHWH,
Muchos dicen: ¿Quién nos mostrará el bien? Alza sobre nosotros, oh SEÑOR, la luz de tu rostro.
7 You have given joy in my heart, From the time their grain and their wine Have been multiplied.
Tú diste alegría en mi corazón, al tiempo que el grano y el mosto de ellos se multiplicó.
8 Together I lie down and sleep in peace, For You, O YHWH, alone, Cause me to dwell in confidence!
En paz me acostaré, y asimismo dormiré; porque solo tú, SEÑOR, me harás estar confiado.
