Psalms 38
1 A PSALM OF DAVID. “TO CAUSE TO REMEMBER.” YHWH, do not reprove me in Your wrath, Nor discipline me in Your fury.
Un salmo de David, para una conmemoración. Yahvé, no me reprendas en tu ira, ni me castigues en tu caliente descontento.
2 For Your arrows have come down on me, And You let down Your hand on me.
Porque tus flechas me han atravesado, tu mano me presiona con fuerza.
3 Soundness is not in my flesh, Because of Your indignation, Peace is not in my bones, Because of my sin.
No hay solidez en mi carne a causa de tu indignación, ni hay salud en mis huesos a causa de mi pecado.
4 For my iniquities have passed over my head, As a heavy burden—too heavy for me.
Porque mis iniquidades han pasado por encima de mi cabeza. Como carga pesada, son demasiado pesados para mí.
5 Stunk—my wounds have become corrupt, Because of my folly.
Mis heridas son repugnantes y corruptas a causa de mi estupidez.
6 I have been bent down, I have been bowed down—to excess, I have gone mourning all the day.
Me duele y me inclino mucho. Voy de luto todo el día.
7 For my flanks have been full of drought, And soundness is not in my flesh.
Porque mi cintura está llena de ardor. No hay solidez en mi carne.
8 I have been feeble and struck—to excess, I have roared from disquietude of heart.
Me siento débil y gravemente herido. He gemido por la angustia de mi corazón.
9 Lord, all my desire [is] before You, And my sighing has not been hid from You.
Señor, todo mi deseo está ante ti. Mi gemido no se te oculta.
10 My heart [is] panting, my power has forsaken me, And the light of my eyes, Even they are not with me.
Mi corazón palpita. Me fallan las fuerzas. En cuanto a la luz de mis ojos, también me ha dejado.
11 My lovers and my friends stand aloof from before my plague. And my neighbors have stood far off.
Mis amantes y mis amigos se mantienen alejados de mi plaga. Mis parientes están lejos.
12 And those seeking my soul lay a snare, And those seeking my evil Have spoken mischievous things, And they meditate [on] deceits all the day.
También los que buscan mi vida ponen trampas. Los que buscan mi daño hablan cosas maliciosas, y meditar engaños todo el día.
13 And I, as deaf, do not hear. And as a mute one who does not open his mouth.
Pero yo, como un sordo, no oigo. Soy como un hombre mudo que no abre la boca.
14 Indeed, I am as a man who does not hear, And in his mouth are no reproofs.
Sí, soy como un hombre que no oye, en cuya boca no hay reproches.
15 Because for You, O YHWH, I have waited, You answer, O Lord my God.
Porque espero en ti, Yahvé. Tú responderás, Señor mi Dios.
16 When I said, “Lest they rejoice over me, In the slipping of my foot they magnified themselves against me.”
Porque dije: “No dejes que se regodeen en mí, o se exaltan sobre mí cuando mi pie resbala”.
17 For I am ready to halt, And my pain [is] continually before me.
Porque estoy dispuesto a caer. Mi dolor está continuamente ante mí.
18 For I declare my iniquity, I am sorry for my sin.
Porque declararé mi iniquidad. Me arrepentiré de mi pecado.
19 And my enemies [are] lively, They have been strong, and those hating me without cause, Have been multiplied.
Pero mis enemigos son vigorosos y numerosos. Los que me odian sin razón son numerosos.
20 And those paying evil for good accuse me, Because of my pursuing good.
Los que dan el mal por el bien son también adversarios míos, porque sigo lo que es bueno.
21 Do not forsake me, O YHWH, My God, do not be far from me,
No me abandones, Yahvé. Dios mío, no te alejes de mí.
22 Hurry to help me, O Lord, my salvation!
Date prisapara ayudarme, Señor, mi salvación.
