Psalms 37
1 BY DAVID. [ALEPH-BET] Do not fret because of evildoers, Do not be envious against doers of iniquity,
Давидів.
2 For they are cut off speedily as grass, And fade as the greenness of the tender grass.
бо вони, як трава, будуть скоро поко́шені, і мов та зелена били́на — пов'я́нуть!
3 Trust in YHWH, and do good, Dwell [in] the land, and enjoy faithfulness,
Надійся на Господа й добре чини, землю заме́шкуй та правди дотримуй!
4 And delight yourself on YHWH, And He gives to you the petitions of your heart.
Хай Господь буде розкіш твоя, — і Він спо́внить тобі твого серця бажа́ння!
5 Roll your way on YHWH, And trust on Him, and He works,
На Господа здай доро́гу свою, і на Нього надію клади, і Він зробить,
6 And has brought out your righteousness as light, And your judgment as noon-day.
і Він ви́провадить, немов світло, твою справедливість, а правду твою — немов пі́вдень.
7 Be silent for YHWH, and stay yourself for Him, Do not fret because of him Who is making his way prosperous, Because of a man doing wicked schemes.
Жди Господа мо́вчки й на Нього наді́йся, не розпалюйся гнівом на того, хто щасливою чинить дорогу свою, на люди́ну, що виконує за́думи злі.
8 Desist from anger, and forsake fury, Do not fret yourself to only do evil.
Повстри́майсь від гніву й покинь пересе́рдя, не розпа́люйся лютістю, щоб чини́ти лиш зло,
9 For evildoers are cut off, As for those waiting on YHWH, they possess the land.
бо ви́тяті будуть злочинці, а ті, хто вповає на Господа — землю вспадку́ють!
10 And yet a little [while], and the wicked is not, And you have considered his place, and it is not.
А ще тро́хи — й не буде безбожного, і будеш дивитись на місце його — і не буде його,
11 And the humble possess the land, And they have delighted themselves In the abundance of peace.
а покірні вспадку́ють землю, — і зарозкошу́ють ми́ром великим!
12 The wicked is devising against the righteous, And gnashing his teeth against him.
Лихе замишляє безбожний на праведного, і скрего́че на нього своїми зубами,
13 The Lord laughs at him, For He has seen that his day comes.
та Господь посміється із нього, — бачить бо Він, що набли́жується його день!
14 The wicked have opened a sword, And they have bent their bow, To cause the poor and needy to fall, To slaughter the upright of the way.
Безбожні меча добува́ють та лука свого натягають, щоб звали́ти нужде́нного й бідного, щоб порізати людей простої дороги, —
15 Their sword enters into their own heart, And their bows are shattered.
та вві́йде їхній меч до їхнього власного серця, і пола́мані будуть їхні лу́ки!
16 Better [is] the little of the righteous, Than the store of many wicked.
Краще мале справедливого, ніж велике багатство безбожних, і то багатьох,
17 For the arms of the wicked are shattered, And YHWH is sustaining the righteous.
бо зла́мані будуть раме́на безбожних, а справедливих Господь підпира́є!
18 YHWH knows the days of the perfect, And their inheritance is for all time.
Знає Господь дні неви́нних, а їхня спадщина пробуде навіки,
19 They are not ashamed in a time of evil, And they are satisfied in days of famine.
за лихолі́ття не будуть вони посоро́млені, і за днів голоду ситими бу́дуть.
20 But the wicked perish, and the enemies of YHWH, Have been consumed as the preciousness of lambs, They have been consumed in smoke.
Бо загинуть безбожні, і Господні вороги, як овечий той лій, зани́кнуть, у димі заникнуть вони!
21 The wicked is borrowing and does not repay, And the righteous is gracious and giving.
Позичає безбожний — і не віддає, а праведний милість висві́дчує та роздає,
22 For His blessed ones possess the land, And His reviled ones are cut off.
бо благословенні від Нього вспадку́ють землю, а прокля́ті від Нього — пони́щені будуть!
23 The steps of a man [are] from YHWH, They have been prepared, And He desires his way.
Від Господа кроки люди́ни побожної ставляться міцно, і Він любить дорогу її;
24 When he falls, he is not cast down, For YHWH is sustaining his hand.
коли ж упаде́, то не буде поки́нена, бо руку її підпирає Госпо́дь.
25 I have been young, I have also become old, And I have not seen the righteous forsaken, And his seed seeking bread.
Я був молодий і поста́рівся, та не бачив я праведного, щоб опу́щений був, ні нащадків його, щоб хліба просили.
26 All the day he is gracious and lending, And his seed [is] for a blessing.
Кожен день виявляє він милість та позичає, і над пото́мством його благословення.
27 Turn aside from evil, and do good, and dwell for all time.
Ухиляйся від злого та добре чини, та й навіки живи!
28 For YHWH is loving judgment, And He does not forsake His saintly ones, They have been kept for all time, And the seed of the wicked is cut off.
Бо любить Господь справедливість, і Він богобі́йних Своїх не покине, — вони будуть навіки бере́жені, а насіння безбожних загине!
29 The righteous possess the land, And they dwell on it forever.
Успадку́ють праведні землю, і повік будуть жити на ній.
30 The mouth of the righteous utters wisdom, And his tongue speaks judgment.
Уста праведного кажуть мудрість, язик же його промовляє про право,
31 The law of his God [is] his heart, His steps do not slide.
Закон Бога його — в його серці, кроки його не спіткну́ться.
32 The wicked is watching for the righteous, And is seeking to put him to death.
А безбожний чату́є на праведного, і пильнує забити його́,
33 YHWH does not leave him in his hand, Nor condemn him in his being judged.
та Господь не зоставить його в руках того, і несправедливим не вчи́нить його, коли буде судити його.
34 Look to YHWH, and keep His way, And He exalts you to possess the land, In the wicked being cut off—you see!
Надійся на Господа, та держися дороги Його, — і піднесе Він тебе, щоб успадкува́ти землю, ти бачитимеш, як пони́жені будуть безбожні.
35 I have seen the wicked terrible, And spreading as a green native plant,
Я бачив безбожного, що збуджував по́страх, що розкорени́вся, немов саморосле зелене те дерево,
36 And he passes away, and behold, he is not, And I seek him, and he is not found!
та він промину́в, — й ось немає його, і шукав я його, — й не знайшов!
37 Observe the perfect, and see the upright, For the latter end of each [is] peace.
Бережи непови́нного та дивися на праведного, бо люди́ні споко́ю належить майбу́тність,
38 And transgressors were destroyed together, The latter end of the wicked was cut off.
переступники ж ра́зом понищені будуть, — майбутність безбожних загине!
39 And the salvation of the righteous [is] from YHWH, Their strong place in a time of adversity.
А спасі́ння праведних — від Господа, Він їхня тверди́ня за ча́с лихолі́ття,
40 And YHWH helps them and delivers them, He delivers them from the wicked, And saves them, Because they trusted in Him!
і Господь їм поможе та їх порятує, ви́зволить їх від безбожних і їх збереже, — бо вдавались до Нього вони!
