Psalms 37
1 BY DAVID. [ALEPH-BET] Do not fret because of evildoers, Do not be envious against doers of iniquity,
Por David. No te preocupes por los malhechores, ni tengáis envidia de los que obran con injusticia.
2 For they are cut off speedily as grass, And fade as the greenness of the tender grass.
Porque pronto serán cortados como la hierba, y se marchitan como la hierba verde.
3 Trust in YHWH, and do good, Dwell [in] the land, and enjoy faithfulness,
Confía en Yahvé y haz el bien. Habita en la tierra y disfruta de un pasto seguro.
4 And delight yourself on YHWH, And He gives to you the petitions of your heart.
Deléitate también en Yahvé, y te dará los deseos de tu corazón.
5 Roll your way on YHWH, And trust on Him, and He works,
Encomienda tu camino a Yahvé. Confía también en él y lo hará:
6 And has brought out your righteousness as light, And your judgment as noon-day.
hará que tu justicia brille como la luz, y tu justicia como el sol del mediodía.
7 Be silent for YHWH, and stay yourself for Him, Do not fret because of him Who is making his way prosperous, Because of a man doing wicked schemes.
Descansa en Yahvé y espéralo con paciencia. No te preocupes por el que prospera en su camino, por el hombre que hace que los complots malvados ocurran.
8 Desist from anger, and forsake fury, Do not fret yourself to only do evil.
Deja de enojarte y abandona la ira. No te preocupes; eso sólo conduce a hacer el mal.
9 For evildoers are cut off, As for those waiting on YHWH, they possess the land.
Porque los malhechores serán eliminados, pero los que esperan a Yahvé heredarán la tierra.
10 And yet a little [while], and the wicked is not, And you have considered his place, and it is not.
Todavía un poco de tiempo, y los malvados ya no existirán. Sí, aunque busques su lugar, no está allí.
11 And the humble possess the land, And they have delighted themselves In the abundance of peace.
Pero los humildes heredarán la tierra, y se deleitarán en la abundancia de la paz.
12 The wicked is devising against the righteous, And gnashing his teeth against him.
El malvado conspira contra el justo, y le rechina los dientes.
13 The Lord laughs at him, For He has seen that his day comes.
El Señor se reirá de él, porque ve que se acerca su día.
14 The wicked have opened a sword, And they have bent their bow, To cause the poor and needy to fall, To slaughter the upright of the way.
Los malvados han sacado la espada y han tensado su arco, para abatir a los pobres y necesitados, para matar a los que son rectos en el camino.
15 Their sword enters into their own heart, And their bows are shattered.
Su espada entrará en su propio corazón. Sus arcos se romperán.
16 Better [is] the little of the righteous, Than the store of many wicked.
Mejor es lo poco que tiene el justo, que la abundancia de muchos malvados.
17 For the arms of the wicked are shattered, And YHWH is sustaining the righteous.
Porque los brazos de los impíos serán quebrados, pero Yahvé sostiene a los justos.
18 YHWH knows the days of the perfect, And their inheritance is for all time.
Yahvé conoce los días de los perfectos. Su herencia será para siempre.
19 They are not ashamed in a time of evil, And they are satisfied in days of famine.
No serán defraudados en el tiempo del mal. En los días de hambre serán satisfechos.
20 But the wicked perish, and the enemies of YHWH, Have been consumed as the preciousness of lambs, They have been consumed in smoke.
Pero los impíos perecerán. Los enemigos de Yahvé serán como la belleza de los campos. Desaparecerán... se desvanecen como el humo.
21 The wicked is borrowing and does not repay, And the righteous is gracious and giving.
Los malvados piden prestado y no lo devuelven, pero los justos dan generosamente.
22 For His blessed ones possess the land, And His reviled ones are cut off.
Porque los bendecidos por él heredarán la tierra. Los que sean maldecidos por él serán cortados.
23 The steps of a man [are] from YHWH, They have been prepared, And He desires his way.
Los pasos del hombre son establecidos por Yahvé. Se deleita en su camino.
24 When he falls, he is not cast down, For YHWH is sustaining his hand.
Aunque tropiece, no caerá, porque Yahvé lo sostiene con su mano.
25 I have been young, I have also become old, And I have not seen the righteous forsaken, And his seed seeking bread.
He sido joven y ahora soy viejo, pero no he visto al justo abandonado, ni a sus hijos mendigando el pan.
26 All the day he is gracious and lending, And his seed [is] for a blessing.
Todo el día trata con gracia y presta. Su descendencia está bendecida.
27 Turn aside from evil, and do good, and dwell for all time.
Apártate del mal y haz el bien. Vive seguro para siempre.
28 For YHWH is loving judgment, And He does not forsake His saintly ones, They have been kept for all time, And the seed of the wicked is cut off.
Porque Yahvé ama la justicia, y no abandona a sus santos. Se conservan para siempre, pero los hijos de los malvados serán cortados.
29 The righteous possess the land, And they dwell on it forever.
Los justos heredarán la tierra, y vivir en ella para siempre.
30 The mouth of the righteous utters wisdom, And his tongue speaks judgment.
La boca del justo habla de sabiduría. Su lengua habla con justicia.
31 The law of his God [is] his heart, His steps do not slide.
La ley de su Dios está en su corazón. Ninguno de sus pasos se deslizará.
32 The wicked is watching for the righteous, And is seeking to put him to death.
Los malvados vigilan a los justos, y buscan matarlo.
33 YHWH does not leave him in his hand, Nor condemn him in his being judged.
El Señor no lo dejará en sus manos, ni condenarlo cuando sea juzgado.
34 Look to YHWH, and keep His way, And He exalts you to possess the land, In the wicked being cut off—you see!
Esperen a Yahvé y guarden su camino, y te exaltará para que heredes la tierra. Cuando los malvados sean cortados, lo verás.
35 I have seen the wicked terrible, And spreading as a green native plant,
He visto a los malvados con gran poder, extendiéndose como un árbol verde en su tierra natal.
36 And he passes away, and behold, he is not, And I seek him, and he is not found!
Pero pasó, y he aquí que no estaba. Sí, lo busqué, pero no lo encontré.
37 Observe the perfect, and see the upright, For the latter end of each [is] peace.
Marca al hombre perfecto y ve al recto, porque hay un futuro para el hombre de paz.
38 And transgressors were destroyed together, The latter end of the wicked was cut off.
En cuanto a los transgresores, serán destruidos juntos. El futuro de los malvados será cortado.
39 And the salvation of the righteous [is] from YHWH, Their strong place in a time of adversity.
Pero la salvación de los justos viene de Yahvé. Él es su baluarte en el tiempo de los problemas.
40 And YHWH helps them and delivers them, He delivers them from the wicked, And saves them, Because they trusted in Him!
Yahvé los ayuda y los rescata. Los rescata de los malvados y los salva, porque se han refugiado en él.
