< Psalms 35 >

1 BY DAVID. Strive, YHWH, with my strivers, fight with my fighters,
Oelhtaih vaengkah David kah Aw BOEIPA, kai aka nen ka lungawn te han nen lah.
2 Take hold of shield and buckler, and rise for my help,
Kai bomnah ham photling neh photlinglen te muk lamtah thoo lah.
3 And draw out spear and lance, To meet my pursuers. Say to my soul, “I [am] your salvation.”
Kai aka hloem rhoek te caai neh khoh lamtah sulbung neh ham mah lah. Ka hinglu taengah, “Kai tah nang kah khangnah ni,” ti nah saeh.
4 They are ashamed and blush, those seeking my soul, Turned backward and confounded, Those devising my evil.
Ka hinglu aka mae rhoek he yahpok saeh lamtah a hmaithae uh saeh. Kai a thae la aka moeh rhoek te a hnuk la balkhong uh saeh lamtah ngam uh saeh.
5 They are as chaff before wind, And a messenger of YHWH driving away.
Khohli dong kah cangkik bangla om uh saeh lamtah BOEIPA kah puencawn loh hawk nawn saeh.
6 Their way is darkness and slipperiness, And a messenger of YHWH—their pursuer.
Amih kah longpuei te hmaisuep neh longhnal la om saeh lamtah BOEIPA kah puencawn loh amih te hloem saeh.
7 For without cause they hid their net [in] a pit for me, Without cause they dug for my soul.
A tloengtlaih van la kai ham lawk a tung uh tih ka hinglu ham vaam a too uh.
8 Desolation meets him—he does not know, And his net that he hid catches him, He falls into it for desolation.
Anih kah a ming mueh la khohli rhamrhael loh kae saeh lamtah lawk a tung te amah man saeh. Anih taengah khohli rhamrhael la tlak thil saeh.
9 And my soul is joyful in YHWH, It rejoices in His salvation.
Te vaengah ka hinglu loh BOEIPA ah omngaih vetih amah kah khangnah dongah ngaingaih ni.
10 All my bones say, “YHWH, who is like You, Delivering the poor from the [one] stronger than he, And the poor and needy from his plunderer.”
Ka rhuh ka rhong boeih loh, “Mangdaeng te amah lakah tlungluen kut lamkah, mangdaeng neh khodaeng te khaw anih aka rheth kut lamkah BOEIPA nang bangla aka huul te unim?,” ti uh saeh.
11 Violent witnesses rise up, That which I have not known they ask me.
Kuthlahnah kah laipai rhoek te ha tlai uh tih kai loh ka ming mueh te n'dawt uh.
12 They pay me evil for good, bereaving my soul,
Ka hinglu kah polpainah ham a then yueng la boethae neh kai n'thuung uh.
13 And I—in their sickness my clothing [is] sackcloth, I have humbled my soul with fastings, And my prayer returns to my bosom.
Tedae kai tah amih te tloh a nue vaengah tlamhni ka pueinak nah. Ka hinglu he yaehnah neh ka phaep vaengah ka thangthuinah loh ka kodang la ha bal.
14 As [if] a friend, as [if] my brother, I habitually walked, As a mourner for a mother, I have bowed down mourning.
Pay a bangla ka manuca bangla ka ngai. A nu kah rhahdoe cangpoem bangla ka van tih kopang doela lu ka singling.
15 And they have rejoiced in my halting, And have been gathered together, The strikers were gathered against me, And I have not known, They have torn, and they have not ceased;
Tedae ka cungdonah te ko a khah uh tih tingtun uh. Hlanghaeng rhoek loh ka ming pawt vaengah ka taengah tingtun uh. Kai n'hliphen uh vaengah toeng uh pawh.
16 With profane ones, mockers in feasts, Gnashing their teeth against me.
Lailak loh kai he buh bangla tamdaengtamkha neh a no n'tah thiluh.
17 Lord, how long do You behold? Keep my soul back from their desolations, My only one from young lions.
Aw Boeipa, mevaeng hil nim nan sawt sut ve? Ka hinglu he khohli rhamrhael lamloh, ka oingaih cangloeng te sathuengca kut lamloh han doek lah.
18 I thank You in a great assembly, I praise You among a mighty people.
Hlangping a yet taengah nang kan uem vetih pilnam rhaengpuei lakli ah nang kan thangthen ni.
19 Do not let my enemies rejoice over me [with] falsehood, Those hating me without cause wink the eye.
A hong mai khaw ka thunkha rhoek loh kai dongah n'kokhah uh tih a lunglilungla la kai aka hmuhuet loh a mik m'mikhip thil boel saeh.
20 For they do not speak peace, And against the quiet of the land, They devise deceitful words,
Rhoepnah a thui uh mueh la khohmuen he dingsuek tila thailatnah ol te a moeh uh.
21 And they enlarge their mouth against me, They said, “Aha, aha, our eye has seen.”
Te dongah kai taengah a ka a ang uh tih, “Ahuei ahuei mamih mik loh a hmuh coeng,” a ti uh.
22 You have seen, O YHWH, Do not be silent, O Lord—do not be far from me,
Na hmuh coeng BOEIPA. Na hilphah boeh. Kai taeng lamkah n'lakhla tak boeh ka Boeipa.
23 Stir up, and wake to my judgment, My God, and my Lord, to my plea.
Kamah kah tuituknah dongah kai ka tiktamnah ham haenghang lamtah thoo laeh ka Pathen neh ka Boeipa.
24 Judge me according to Your righteousness, O YHWH my God, And they do not rejoice over me.
Ka BOEIPA Pathen aw, na duengnah neh kai n'tang sak lamtah kai soah a kokhap uh boel saeh.
25 They do not say in their heart, “Aha, our desire.” They do not say, “We swallowed him up.”
Amih lungbuei ah, “Ahuei, mamih hinglu soep coeng,” ti uh boel saehAnih.” n'dolh uh coeng, “ti uh boel saeh.
26 They are ashamed and confounded together, Who are rejoicing at my evil. They put on shame and confusion, Who are magnifying themselves against me.
Kai kah yoethae soah ko aka hoe rhoek te rhenten yak uh saeh lamtah ngam uh saeh. Kai soah aka pomsang rhoe te yahpohnah neh mingthae loh khuk saeh.
27 They sing and rejoice, who are desiring my righteousness, And they continually say, “YHWH is magnified, Who is desiring the peace of His servant.”
Kai kah duengnah aka omtoem rhoek loh tamhoe uh lamtah a kohoe uh saeh. Te dongah a sal kah ngaimongnah aka omtoem BOEIPA tah pomsang pai saeh,” ti uh yoeyah saeh.
28 And my tongue utters Your righteousness, All the day Your praise!
Te vaengah na duengnah neh namah koehnah te ka olka loh hnin at puet thuep saeh.
