Psalms 33
1 Sing, you righteous, in YHWH, [For] praise from upright ones [is] lovely.
Lobpreiset Jehovah, ihr Gerechten, den Redlichen ziemet das Lob.
2 Give thanks to YHWH with a harp, With stringed instrument of ten strings sing praise to Him,
Bekennt mit der Harfe den Jehovah, mit zehnsaitigem Psalter singet Ihm Psalmen.
3 Sing to Him a new song, Play skillfully with shouting.
Singt Ihm ein neues Lied, macht es gut mit Spielen im Jubelsang.
4 For the word of YHWH [is] upright, And all His work [is] in faithfulness.
Denn gerade ist Jehovahs Wort, und all Sein Tun in Wahrheit.
5 Loving righteousness and judgment, The earth is full of the kindness of YHWH.
Er liebt Gerechtigkeit und Gericht, der Barmherzigkeit Jehovahs ist die Erde voll.
6 By the word of YHWH The heavens have been made, And all their host by the breath of His mouth.
Die Himmel sind gemacht durch Jehovahs Wort, und vom Hauche Seines Mundes all ihr Heer.
7 Gathering the waters of the sea as a heap, Putting the depths in treasuries.
Er faßt zusammen wie in einen Haufen des Meeres Wasser, Er gibt die Tiefen in Schatzkammern.
8 All the earth is afraid of YHWH, All the inhabitants of the world are afraid of Him.
Es fürchte sich vor Jehovah all die Erde; vor Ihm sei bange allen, die in der Welt wohnen.
9 For He has spoken, and it is, He has commanded, and it stands.
Denn Er spricht, und es geschieht; Er gebeut, und es steht da.
10 YHWH made void the counsel of nations, He disallowed the thoughts of the peoples.
Jehovah macht zunichte den Rat der Völkerschaften, stößt um die Gedanken der Völker.
11 The counsel of YHWH stands for all time, The thoughts of His heart from generation to generation.
Jehovahs Ratschluß steht in Ewigkeit, die Gedanken Seines Herzens für Geschlecht und Geschlecht.
12 O the blessedness of the nation whose God [is] YHWH, Of the people He chose, For an inheritance to Him.
Selig die Völkerschaft, deren Gott Jehovah ist, das Volk, das Er Sich zum Erbe hat erwählt.
13 YHWH has looked from the heavens, He has seen all the sons of men.
Vom Himmel blickt Jehovah, Er sieht alle Söhne des Menschen.
14 From the fixed place of His dwelling, He looked to all inhabitants of the earth;
Von der Wohnstätte Seines Sitzes erschaut Er alle, so auf Erden wohnen.
15 Who is forming their hearts together, Who is attending to all their works.
Der ihr Herz bildet zumal, Der merkt auf all ihr Tun.
16 The king is not saved by the multitude of a force. A mighty man is not delivered, By abundance of power.
Dem König hilft nicht seine viele Streitmacht; der Held wird nicht errettet durch die viele Kraft.
17 A false thing [is] the horse for safety, And he does not deliver By the abundance of his strength.
Lug ist des Rosses Heil und durch seine viele Kraft läßt es nicht entrinnen.
18 Behold, the eye of YHWH [is] to those fearing Him, To those waiting for His kindness,
Siehe, Jehovahs Auge ist auf denen, so Ihn fürchten, die auf Seine Barmherzigkeit warten.
19 To deliver their soul from death, And to keep them alive in famine.
Daß ihre Seele Er vom Tod errette und sie am Leben erhalte in der Hungersnot.
20 Our soul has waited for YHWH, He [is] our help and our shield,
Unsere Seele wartet auf Jehovah, unser Beistand und unser Schild ist Er.
21 For our heart rejoices in Him, For we have trusted in His Holy Name.
Denn in Ihm ist fröhlich unser Herz, denn wir vertrauen auf den Namen Seiner Heiligkeit.
22 Let Your kindness, O YHWH, be on us, As we have waited for You!
Jehovah, Deine Barmherzigkeit sei über uns, wie wir Deiner warten.
