Psalms 31

1 TO THE OVERSEER. A PSALM OF DAVID. In You, O YHWH, I have trusted, Do not let me be ashamed for all time, In Your righteousness deliver me.

En ti, Jehová, he esperado; no sea yo avergonzado para siempre: líbrame en tu justicia.

2 Incline Your ear to me quickly, deliver me, Be to me for a strong rock, For a house of bulwarks to save me.

Inclina a mí tu oído, escápame presto, séme por roca de fortaleza: por casa fuerte para salvarme.

3 For You [are] my rock and my bulwark, For Your Name’s sake lead me and tend me.

Porque tú eres mi roca, y mi castillo: y por tu nombre me guiarás, y me encaminarás.

4 Bring me out from the net that they hid for me, For You [are] my strength.

Sacarme has de la red, que han escondido para mí; porque tú eres mi fortaleza.

5 Into Your hand I commit my spirit, You have redeemed me, YHWH God of truth.

En tu mano encomendaré mi espíritu: redimísteme o! Jehová Dios de verdad.

6 I have hated the observers of lying vanities, And I have been confident toward YHWH.

Aborrecí los que esperan en las vanidades de vanidad: y yo en Jehová he esperado.

7 I rejoice, and am glad in Your kindness, In that You have seen my affliction, You have known my soul in adversities.

Gozarme he, y alegrarme he en tu misericordia; porque has visto mi aflicción: has conocido mi alma en las angustias.

8 And You have not shut me up, Into the hand of an enemy, You have caused my feet to stand in a broad place.

Y no me encerraste en la mano del enemigo: antes hiciste estar mis pies en anchura.

9 Favor me, O YHWH, for distress [is] to me, My eye, my soul, and my body Have become old by provocation.

Ten misericordia de mí, o! Jehová, que estoy en angustia: hánse carcomido con enojo mis ojos, mi alma, y mi vientre.

10 For my life has been consumed in sorrow And my years in sighing. My strength has been feeble because of my iniquity, And my bones have become old.

Porque se ha acabado con dolor mi vida, y mis años con suspiro; háse enflaquecido mi fuerza a causa de mi iniquidad; y mis huesos se han podrido.

11 I have been a reproach among all my adversaries, And to my neighbors exceedingly, And a fear to my acquaintances, Those seeing me without—fled from me.

De todos mis enemigos he sido oprobio, y de mis vecinos en gran manera, y horror a mis conocidos: los que me veían fuera, huían de mí.

12 I have been forgotten as dead, out of mind, I have been as a perishing vessel.

He sido olvidado de corazón como muerto: he sido como un vaso perdido.

13 For I have heard an evil account of many, Fear [is] all around. In their being united against me, They have devised to take my life,

Porque he oído afrenta de muchos: miedo en derredor, cuando consultaban juntos contra mí, para prender mi alma pensaban.

14 And I have trusted on You, O YHWH, I have said, “You [are] my God.”

Mas yo sobre ti confié, o! Jehová; dije: Mi Dios eres tú.

15 In Your hand [are] my times, Deliver me from the hand of my enemies, And from my pursuers.

En tu mano están mis tiempos: líbrame de la mano de mis enemigos, y de mis perseguidores.

16 Cause Your face to shine on Your servant, Save me in Your kindness.

Haz resplandecer tu rostro sobre tu siervo: sálvame por tu misericordia.

17 O YHWH, do not let me be ashamed, For I have called You, let the wicked be ashamed, Let them become silent to Sheol. (Sheol h7585)

Jehová, no sea yo confuso, porque te he invocado: sean confusos los impíos, sean cortados para el infierno. (Sheol h7585)

18 Let lips of falsehood become mute, That are speaking against the righteous, Ancient sayings, in pride and contempt.

Enmudezcan los labios mentirosos, que hablan contra el justo cosas duras con soberbia y menosprecio.

19 How abundant is Your goodness, That You have laid up for those fearing You, You have worked for those trusting in You, Before sons of men.

¡Cuán grande es tu bien, que has guardado para los que te temen: que has obrado, para los que esperan en ti delante de los hijos de los hombres!

20 You hide them in the secret place of Your presence, From schemes of man, You conceal them in a dwelling place, From the strife of tongues.

Esconderlos has en el escondedero de tu rostro de las arrogancias de cada cual: esconderlos has en el tabernáculo de cuestión de lenguas.

21 Blessed [is] YHWH, For He has made His kindness marvelous To me in a city of bulwarks.

Bendito Jehová; porque ha hecho maravillosa su misericordia para conmigo en ciudad fuerte.

22 And I have said in my haste, “I have been cut off from before Your eyes,” But You have heard the voice of my supplications, In my crying to You.

Y yo decía en mi priesa: Cortado soy de delante de tus ojos: mas ciertamente tú oías la voz de mis ruegos, cuando clamaba a ti.

23 Love YHWH, all you His saints, YHWH is keeping the faithful, And repaying a proud doer abundantly.

Amád a Jehová todos sus misericordiosos: a los fieles guarda Jehová, y paga abundantemente al que hace con soberbia.

24 Be strong, and He strengthens your heart, All you who are waiting for YHWH!

Esforzáos, y esfuércese vuestro corazón, todos los que esperáis en Jehová.
