< Psalms 28 >
1 BY DAVID. To You, O YHWH, I call, My rock, do not be silent to me! Lest You are silent to me, And I have been compared With those going down to the pit.
Psalmus ipsi David. Ad te Domine clamabo, Deus meus ne sileas a me: ne quando taceas a me, et assimilabor descendentibus in lacum.
2 Hear the voice of my supplications, In my crying to You, In my lifting up my hands toward your holy oracle.
Exaudi Domine vocem deprecationis meæ dum oro ad te: dum extollo manus meas ad templum sanctum tuum.
3 Do not draw me with the wicked, And with workers of iniquity, Speaking peace with their neighbors, And evil in their heart.
Ne simul trahas me cum peccatoribus: et cum operantibus iniquitatem ne perdas me: Qui loquuntur pacem cum proximo suo, mala autem in cordibus eorum.
4 Give to them according to their acting, And according to the evil of their doings. Give to them according to the work of their hands. Return their deed to them.
Da illis secundum opera eorum, et secundum nequitiam adinventionum ipsorum. Secundum opera manuum eorum tribue illis: redde retributionem eorum ipsis.
5 For they do not attend to the doing of YHWH, And to the work of His hands. He throws them down, And does not build them up.
Quoniam non intellexerunt opera Domini, et in opera manuum eius destrues illos, et non ædificabis eos.
6 Blessed [is] YHWH, For He has heard the voice of my supplications.
Benedictus Dominus: quoniam exaudivit vocem deprecationis meæ.
7 YHWH [is] my strength, and my shield, In Him my heart trusted, and I have been helped. And my heart exults, And I thank Him with my song.
Dominus adiutor meus, et protector meus: in ipso speravit cor meum, et adiutus sum. Et refloruit caro mea: et ex voluntate mea confitebor ei.
8 YHWH [is] strength to him, Indeed, the strength of the salvation of His anointed [is] He.
Dominus fortitudo plebis suæ: et protector salvationum Christi sui est.
9 Save Your people, and bless Your inheritance, And feed them, and carry them for all time!
Salvum fac populum tuum Domine, et benedic hereditati tuæ: et rege eos, et extolle illos usque in æternum.
