Psalms 27

1 BY DAVID. YHWH [is] my light and my salvation, Whom do I fear? YHWH [is] the strength of my life, Of whom am I afraid?

Por David. Yahvé es mi luz y mi salvación. ¿A quién debo temer? Yahvé es la fuerza de mi vida. ¿De quién debo tener miedo?

2 When evildoers come near to me to eat my flesh, My adversaries and my enemies to me, They have stumbled and fallen.

Cuando los malhechores vinieron a mí para devorar mi carne, incluso mis adversarios y mis enemigos, tropezaron y cayeron.

3 Though a host encamps against me, My heart does not fear, Though war rises up against me, In this I [am] confident.

Aunque un ejército acampe contra mí, mi corazón no temerá. Aunque la guerra se levante contra mí, incluso entonces me sentiré confiado.

4 One [thing] I asked of YHWH—it I seek: My dwelling in the house of YHWH, All the days of my life, To look on the pleasantness of YHWH, And to inquire in His temple.

Una cosa he pedido a Yahvé, que buscaré: para que habite en la casa de Yahvé todos los días de mi vida, para ver la belleza de Yahvé, y a indagar en su templo.

5 For He hides me in a dwelling place in the day of evil, He hides me in a secret place of His tent, He raises me up on a rock.

Porque en el día de la angustia, me guardará en secreto en su pabellón. En el lugar secreto de su tabernáculo, me esconderá. Me levantará sobre una roca.

6 And now my head is lifted up, Above my enemies—my surrounders, And I sacrifice in His tent sacrifices of shouting, I sing, indeed, I sing praise to YHWH.

Ahora mi cabeza se alzará por encima de mis enemigos que me rodean. Ofreceré sacrificios de alegría en su tienda. Cantaré, sí, cantaré alabanzas a Yahvé.

7 Hear, O YHWH, my voice—I call, And favor me, and answer me.

Escucha, Yahvé, cuando clamo con mi voz. Ten también piedad de mí y respóndeme.

8 My heart said to You, “They sought my face, Your face, O YHWH, I seek.”

Cuando dijiste: “Busca mi rostro” mi corazón te dijo: “Buscaré tu rostro, Yahvé”.

9 Do not hide Your face from me, Do not turn Your servant aside in anger, You have been my help. Do not leave me, nor forsake me, O God of my salvation.

No me ocultes tu rostro. No apartes a tu siervo con rabia. Has sido mi ayuda. No me abandones, ni me abandones, Dios de mi salvación.

10 When my father and my mother Have forsaken me, then YHWH gathers me.

Cuando mi padre y mi madre me abandonan, entonces Yahvé me llevará arriba.

11 Show me, O YHWH, Your way, And lead me in a path of uprightness, For the sake of my beholders.

Enséñame tu camino, Yahvé. Guíame por un camino recto, a causa de mis enemigos.

12 Do not give me to the will of my adversaries, For false witnesses have risen against me, And they breathe out violence to me.

No me entregues al deseo de mis adversarios, porque se han levantado falsos testigos contra mí, como exhalar crueldad.

13 I had not believed to look on the goodness of YHWH In the land of the living!

Sigo confiando en ello: Veré la bondad de Yahvé en la tierra de los vivos.

14 Look to YHWH—be strong, And He strengthens your heart, Indeed, look to YHWH!

Espera a Yahvé. Sé fuerte, y deja que tu corazón tenga valor. Sí, espera a Yahvé.
