< Psalms 23 >
1 A PSALM OF DAVID. YHWH [is] my shepherd, I do not lack,
Psalmus David. Dominus regit me, et nihil mihi deerit:
2 He causes me to lie down in pastures of tender grass, He leads me by quiet waters.
in loco pascuæ ibi me collocavit. Super aquam refectionis educavit me:
3 He refreshes my soul, He leads me in paths of righteousness For His Name’s sake;
animam meam convertit. Deduxit me super semitas iustitiæ, propter nomen suum.
4 Also—when I walk in a valley of death-shade, I fear no evil, for You [are] with me, Your rod and Your staff—they comfort me.
Nam, et si ambulavero in medio umbræ mortis, non timebo mala: quoniam tu mecum es. Virga tua, et baculus tuus: ipsa me consolata sunt.
5 You arrange a table before me, In front of my adversaries, You have anointed my head with oil, My cup is full!
Parasti in conspectu meo mensam, adversus eos, qui tribulant me. Impinguasti in oleo caput meum: et calix meus inebrians quam præclarus est!
6 Surely goodness and kindness pursue me All the days of my life, And my dwelling [is] in the house of YHWH, For [the] length of [my] days!
Et misericordia tua subsequetur me omnibus diebus vitæ meæ: et ut inhabitem in domo Domini, in longitudinem dierum.
