Psalms 17

1 A PRAYER OF DAVID. Hear, O YHWH, righteousness, attend my cry, Give ear [to] my prayer, without lips of deceit.

Preĝo de David. Aŭskultu, ho Eternulo, la justulon, atentu mian krion, Donu orelon al mia preĝo el ne malsincera buŝo.

2 My judgment goes out from before You; Your eyes see uprightly.

De Vi venos mia juĝo; Viaj okuloj rigardos la veremecon.

3 You have proved my heart, You have inspected by night, You have tried me, You find nothing; My thoughts do not pass over my mouth.

Vi esploras mian koron, ekzamenas ĝin en la nokto; Vi elprovas min, Kaj Vi trovas nenion, kion mi intencus, Sed kio ne volus eliri el mia buŝo.

4 As for doings of man, Through a word of Your lips I have observed The paths of a destroyer;

Pri homaj faroj, konforme al la vortoj el Via buŝo, Mi gardis min de vojoj kontraŭleĝaj.

5 To uphold my goings in Your paths, My steps have not slipped.

Miaj paŝoj tuj sekvas en Viaj postesignoj, miaj piedoj ne ŝanceliĝas.

6 I called You, for You answer me, O God, incline Your ear to me, hear my speech.

Mi vokas al Vi, ĉar Vi respondos al mi, ho Dio; Klinu al mi Vian orelon kaj aŭdu mian parolon.

7 Separate Your kindness wonderfully, O Savior of the confiding, By Your right hand, from withstanders.

Montru Vian mirindan favorkorecon, Vi, kiu per Via dekstra mano helpas la fidantojn kontraŭ la atakantoj.

8 Keep me as the apple, the daughter of the eye; Hide me in the shadow of Your wings,

Gardu min kiel la pupilon de la okulo, Per la ombro de Viaj flugiloj kaŝu min

9 From the face of the wicked who spoiled me, [From] my enemies in soul who go around against me.

De la malbonuloj, kiuj atakas min, De miaj malamikoj, kiuj ĉirkaŭe insidas kontraŭ mia animo.

10 They have closed up their fat, Their mouths have spoken with pride:

Sian koron ili fermis, Per sia buŝo ili parolas fiere.

11 “Our steps have now surrounded [him]”; They set their eyes to turn aside in the land.

Kien ni iras, ili nin ĉirkaŭas; Siajn okulojn ili direktas, por ĵeti nin sur la teron.

12 His likeness as a lion desirous to tear, As a young lion dwelling in secret places.

Li similas leonon, kiu avidas akiron, Kaj leonidon, kiu sidas en kaŝita loko.

13 Arise, O YHWH, go before his face, Cause him to bend. Deliver my soul from the wicked, Your sword,

Leviĝu, ho Eternulo, antaŭvenu kaj renversu lin; Savu mian animon kontraŭ la malbonulo per Via glavo,

14 From men, Your hand, O YHWH, From men of the world, their portion [is] in life, And [with] Your hidden things You fill their belly, They are satisfied [with] sons, And have left their abundance to their sucklings.

Kontraŭ la homoj, ho Eternulo, per Via mano, Kontraŭ la homoj de ĉi tiu mondo, kiuj havas sian parton en la nuna vivo, Kaj kies ventron Vi plenigis per Viaj trezoroj, Ke iliaj filoj estos sataj kaj ili lasos restaĵon por siaj infanoj.

15 I—in righteousness, I see Your face; I am satisfied, in awaking, [with] Your form!

Kaj mi en pieco rigardos Vian vizaĝon; Vekiĝante, mi satiĝos per Via bildo.
