< Psalms 148 >
1 Praise YAH! Praise YHWH from the heavens, Praise Him in high places.
Alleluia. Laudate Dominum de caelis: laudate eum in excelsis.
2 Praise Him, all His messengers, Praise Him, all His hosts.
Laudate eum omnes angeli eius: laudate eum omnes virtutes eius.
3 Praise Him, sun and moon, Praise Him, all stars of light.
Laudate eum sol et luna: laudate eum omnes stellae, et lumen.
4 Praise Him, heavens of heavens, And you waters that are above the heavens.
Laudate eum caeli caelorum: et aquae omnes, quae super caelos sunt,
5 They praise the Name of YHWH, For He commanded, and they were created.
laudent nomen Domini. Quia ipse dixit, et facta sunt: ipse mandavit, et creata sunt.
6 And He establishes them forever and for all time, He gave a statute, and they do not pass over.
Statuit ea in aeternum, et in saeculum saeculi: praeceptum posuit, et non praeteribit.
7 Praise YHWH from the earth, Dragons and all deeps,
Laudate Dominum de terra, dracones, et omnes abyssi.
8 Fire and hail, snow and vapor, Whirlwind doing His word;
Ignis, grando, nix, glacies, spiritus procellarum: quae faciunt verbum eius:
9 The mountains and all heights, Fruit tree, and all cedars,
Montes, et omnes colles: ligna fructifera, et omnes cedri.
10 The wild beast, and all livestock, Creeping thing, and winged bird,
Bestiae, et universa pecora: serpentes, et volucres pennatae:
11 Kings of earth, and all peoples, Chiefs, and all judges of earth,
Reges terrae, et omnes populi: principes, et omnes iudices terrae.
12 Young men, and also maidens, Aged men, with youths,
Iuvenes, et virgines: senes cum iunioribus laudent nomen Domini:
13 They praise the Name of YHWH, For His Name alone has been set on high, His splendor [is] above earth and heavens.
quia exaltatum est nomen eius solius.
14 And He exalts the horn of His people, The praise of all His saints, Of the sons of Israel, A people near Him. Praise YAH!
Confessio eius super caelum, et terram: et exaltavit cornu populi sui. Hymnus omnibus sanctis eius: filiis Israel, populo appropinquanti sibi. Alleluia.
