Psalms 147
1 Praise YAH! For [it is] good to praise our God, For pleasant—lovely [is] praise.
Msifuni Bwana. Tazama jinsi ilivyo vyema kumwimbia Mungu wetu sifa, jinsi inavyopendeza na kustahili kumsifu yeye!
2 YHWH [is] building Jerusalem, He gathers the driven away of Israel.
Bwana hujenga Yerusalemu, huwakusanya Israeli walio uhamishoni.
3 Who is giving healing to the broken of heart, And is binding up their griefs.
Anawaponya waliovunjika mioyo na kuvifunga vidonda vyao.
4 Appointing the number of the stars, He gives names to all of them.
Huzihesabu nyota na huipa kila moja jina lake.
5 Our Lord [is] great, and abundant in power, There is no narration of His understanding.
Bwana wetu ni mkuu na mwenye uwezo mwingi, ufahamu wake hauna kikomo.
6 YHWH is causing the meek to stand, Making the wicked low to the earth.
Bwana huwahifadhi wanyenyekevu lakini huwashusha waovu mpaka mavumbini.
7 Answer to YHWH with thanksgiving, Sing to our God with a harp.
Mwimbieni Bwana kwa shukrani, mpigieni Mungu wetu kinubi.
8 Who is covering the heavens with clouds, Who is preparing rain for the earth, Who is causing grass to spring up [on] mountains,
Yeye huzifunika anga kwa mawingu, huinyeshea ardhi mvua, na kuzifanya nyasi kuota juu ya vilima.
9 Giving to the beast its food, To the young of the ravens that call.
Huwapa chakula mifugo na pia makinda ya kunguru yanapolia.
10 He does not delight in the might of the horse, He is not pleased in the legs of a man.
Furaha yake haipo katika nguvu za farasi, wala furaha yake kwenye miguu ya mwanadamu.
11 YHWH is pleased with those fearing Him, With those waiting for His kindness.
Bwana hupendezwa na wale wamchao, wale wanaoweka tumaini lao katika upendo wake usiokoma.
12 Glorify, O Jerusalem, YHWH, Praise your God, O Zion.
Mtukuze Bwana, ee Yerusalemu, msifu Mungu wako, ee Sayuni,
13 For He strengthened the bars of your gates, He has blessed your sons in your midst.
kwa maana huimarisha makomeo ya malango yako na huwabariki watu wako walio ndani yako.
14 Who is making your border peace, He satisfies you [with] the fat of wheat.
Huwapa amani mipakani mwenu na kukushibisha kwa ngano safi kabisa.
15 Who is sending forth His saying [on] earth, His word runs very speedily.
Hutuma amri yake duniani, neno lake hukimbia kasi.
16 Who is giving snow like wool, He scatters hoarfrost as ashes.
Anatandaza theluji kama sufu na kutawanya umande kama majivu.
17 Casting forth His ice like morsels, Who stands before His cold?
Huvurumisha mvua yake ya mawe kama changarawe. Ni nani awezaye kustahimili ukali wa baridi yake?
18 He sends forth His word and melts them, He causes His wind to blow—the waters flow.
Hutuma neno lake na kuviyeyusha, huvumisha upepo wake, nayo maji hutiririka.
19 Declaring His words to Jacob, His statutes and His judgments to Israel.
Amemfunulia Yakobo neno lake, sheria zake na maagizo yake kwa Israeli.
20 He has not done so to any nation, As for judgments, they have not known them. Praise YAH!
Hajafanya hivyo kwa taifa lingine lolote, hawazijui sheria zake. Msifuni Bwana.
