Psalms 146

1 Praise YAH! Praise, O my soul, YHWH.

Halleluja! Pris HERREN, min Sjæl!

2 I praise YHWH during my life, I sing praise to my God while I exist.

Jeg vil prise HERREN hele mit Liv, lovsynge min Gud, så længe jeg lever.

3 Do not trust in princes—in a son of man, For he has no deliverance.

Sæt ikke eders Lid til Fyrster, til et Menneskebarn, der ikke kan hjælpe!

4 His spirit goes forth, he returns to his earth, In that day his thoughts have perished.

Hans Ånd går bort, han bliver til Jord igen, hans Råd er bristet samme Dag.

5 O the blessedness of him Who has the God of Jacob for his help, His hope [is] on his God YHWH,

Salig den, hvis Hjælp er Jakobs Gud, hvis Håb står til HERREN hans Gud,

6 Making the heavens and earth, The sea and all that [is] in them, Who is keeping truth for all time,

som skabte Himmel og Jord, Havet og alf, hvad de rummer, som evigt bevarer sin Trofasthed

7 Doing judgment for the oppressed, Giving bread to the hungry.

og skaffer de undertrykte Ret, som giver de sultne Brød! HERREN løser de fangne,

8 YHWH is loosing the prisoners, YHWH is opening (the eyes of) the blind, YHWH is raising the bowed down, YHWH is loving the righteous,

HERREN åbner de blindes Øjne, HERREN rejser de bøjede, HERREN elsker de retfærdige,

9 YHWH is preserving the strangers, He causes the fatherless and widow to stand, And He turns the way of the wicked upside down.

HERREN vogter de fremmede, opholder faderløse og Enker, men gudløses Vej gør han kroget.

10 YHWH reigns for all time, Your God, O Zion, to generation and generation, Praise YAH!

HERREN er Konge for evigt, din Gud, o Zion, fra Slægt til Slægt. Halleluja!
