Psalms 140
1 TO THE OVERSEER. A PSALM OF DAVID. Deliver me, O YHWH, from an evil man, Keep me from one of violence.
Ispalennak, O Yahweh, kadagiti nadangkes; salaknibannak kadagiti naranggas a tattao.
2 Who have devised evils in the heart, All the day they assemble [for] wars.
Mangpangpanggepda iti dakes kadagiti pusoda; inaldaw a mangirugrugida iti riri.
3 They sharpened their tongue as a serpent, Poison of a viper [is] under their lips. (Selah)
Makasugat dagiti dilada a kas kadagiti uleg; adda kadagiti bibigda ti gita ti karasaen. (Selah)
4 Preserve me, YHWH, from the hands of the wicked, Keep me from one of violence, Who have devised to overthrow my steps.
Salaknibannak, O Yahweh, kadagiti ima dagiti nadangkes; saluadannak kadagiti naranggas a tattao a mangpangpanggep a mangdangran kaniak.
5 The proud hid a snare for me—and cords, They spread a net by the side of the path, They have set snares for me. (Selah)
Nangiwayat dagiti natangsit a tattao iti pakaipalab-ogak; nangiwarasda iti iket; nangiwayatda iti pakasiloak. (Selah)
6 I have said to YHWH, “You [are] my God, Hear, YHWH, the voice of my supplications.”
Kinunak kenni Yahweh, “Sika ti Diosko; dumngegka kadagiti panagdawdawatko iti asi.”
7 O YHWH, my Lord, strength of my salvation, You have covered my head in the day of armor.
O Yahweh nga Apok, napigsaka a mangispal; salsalaknibam ti ulok iti aldaw ti gubat.
8 Do not grant, O YHWH, the desires of the wicked, Do not bring forth his wicked scheme, They are high. (Selah)
O Yahweh, saanmo a patgan dagiti tarigagay dagiti nadangkes; saanmo nga itulok nga agballigi dagiti panggepda. (Selah)
9 The chief of my surrounders, The perverseness of their lips covers them.
Natangsit dagiti nakapalawlaw kaniak; bay-am a ti kinadakes dagiti bibigda ti mangdadael kadakuada.
10 They cause burning coals to fall on themselves, He casts them into fire, Into deep pits—they do not arise.
Bay-am a matnag dagiti beggang kadakuada; ipurwakmo ida iti apuy, kadagiti mangliwengliweng nga abut, a saanda pulos a makaruk-at.
11 A talkative man is not established in the earth, One of violence—evil hunts to overflowing.
Saan koma a mapatalged ditoy lubong ti siasinoman a mangibagbaga kadagiti dakes a banbanag kadagiti sabali; anupen koma iti kinadakes ti naranggas a tao tapno dadaelenna isuna.
12 I have known that YHWH executes The judgment of the afflicted, The judgment of the needy.
Ammok nga ikaluya ni Yahweh dagiti mairurrurumen, ken ikalinteganna dagiti agkasapulan.
13 Surely the righteous give thanks to Your Name, The upright dwell with Your presence!
Awan duadua a pagyamanan dagiti nalinteg a tattao ti naganmo; agnaed dagiti nalinteg a tattao iti presensiam.
